Chapter 36: Pairing

THIRD POV

The group celebrated their holidays peacefully. Just like Sam promised, she visited Toni's home along with the girls to celebrate Christmas. She didn't get to celebrate it with her girlfriend but during the New Year, she celebrated it with her family and Amanda's in Japan. The girls decided to go home to their families to celebrate the New Year with them.

2 days before the class starts again, a party was thrown by one of the players from the men's soccer team. Since Sam and Toni were the only ones available, both of them went to the party. The news about Sam and Amanda dating was still trending. So when they got to the party, they were immediately swarmed by lots of students asking about their relationship. Luckily for Sam, Toni was able to persuade them to give them some space.

The two of them were called by Toni's teammates and joined them in their table. All of them exchanged greetings and were catching up about their holidays.

Sam's POV

"Do you want anything to drink?" I heard Rodriguez offered.

I shook my head as I held up the keys. She quickly understood and got up to get a drink for Toni. Somehow, I had the urge to use the bathroom so I excused myself. The house was flooded with sweaty and intoxicated teenagers.

The house was large enough but so far in my search, most of the bathrooms were occupied by either passed out or horny ones. So I made my way upstairs in the hope that I could find one. There were either bottles or red cups scattered across the hallway. One by one, I checked the rooms but I listen to it first because I don't want to go inside while someone was at it.

Luckily, there was an empty bedroom. I peeked around the room for a bathroom and luckily there was a door I spotted on the right and has a sink inside. Closing the door, I proceeded inside towards the bathroom. Letting out my leak, I felt a relief as my bladder got emptied.

I know London is a cold country but the weather right now really makes me pee a lot more than usual. Then all of a sudden, I heard shuffles inside. To my left, I saw Aphrodite squinting her eyes at me while I was there standing with my shaft in my hands. Before I got myself more embarrassed, I turned to hide my shaft before putting it inside my pants literally. Then I quickly washed my hands so that I could leave.

"Why is there a man inside my room?" I heard the raven-haired girl slurred.

Somehow, I stopped midway. She's drunk with no one to check on her? I turn off the faucet to face her. I looked at her state. Bags under her eyes. Her skin got even paler like she was sick. The green forest eyes that I admired seemed to be gone because all I could see was a dull one. My heart clenched at the sight because I want to know who was the cause of it.

I heard the door opened and Hailey's voice was heard in the bedroom. Her footsteps were getting closer and closer until I saw her figure enter the room. A gasp came out of her mouth as she saw me inside the bathroom with Aphrodite.

I walked towards her and basically towering over her when I was just two steps away and I stopped.

"It's Sam," I said with a soft voice. Somehow, she flinched on where she stood and I saw her eyes turned glossy.

"Get out," I heard her gritting her teeth.

I frowned in confusion why she was telling me that. There was a hand on my shoulder and I turned to see Hailey who was silently telling me to follow her outside. I turned to look at Aphrodite once again but her back has already turned to me this time.

I know I had spent a little time with her. During those meetings, I saw different sides of her. Seeing her like that somehow made my heart clenched. Much to my dismay, I followed Hailey out of the room.
