Sam's POV

As my finger left the last key, applause immediately came around, and some students gave me a standing ovation while the others whistled. Even Mrs Hansen did it too. I stood up from the chair and bowed in front.

"That was a beautiful performance Ms Thompson" Mrs Hansen with amusement. "I do hope I could hear your voice singing", she winked. I smiled embarrassingly, and she must've seen my mouth move while I played the piano. As I found my seat, I received praises from my classmates.

The performance spread like wildfire. Praises were given left and right. Someone must have taken a video without me noticing.

"You sure got a lot of fans just from playing the piano", Rose smirked. "I guess fan base starts from small beginnings", she added.

We walked down the hallway, and everyone just instinctively spread out, giving us a way to walk down. I really don't like where is this going. Especially that I've got an eye on the green eyes, does she even like girls? More like, I think, she has a boyfriend. My suspicions were confirmed when I saw her on the locker with a guy leaning beside her. I think he was the ace of the Football team.

Seeing the guy being too close with her really ticked my nerve. My hand inside the pocket of my jacket clenched at sight. When her eyes connected with mine, I can't help but stare. For sure, she must've noticed the tension between us. As soon as she left my peripheral vision, my grip on the bag even got tighter.

"Hey", Ally nudged at me. "Is there something wrong?" she asked, frowning at me.

"Nothing," I said with a tight smile.

"You seem quiet," she said. She tried to look at my eyes, seeking answers knowing it really tells what I feel.

"Just feeling out of the blue. Don't worry" I smiled once again. "Probably from the flight", I added as I rubbed the back of my neck. "Can you guys head-on? I'll just take a detour," I told the girls, and everyone agreed.

I turned right while they went to the opposite side of the building. Some girls were chattering as I entered the comfort room. Placing the bag on the side, I removed my contacts. The girls who were chattering earlier left, leaving me alone inside. Then, I washed my face as I successfully removed my contacts and kept them somewhere safe. I looked at my reflection, grey eyes staring back at me. These were completely hidden from others, as it signifies my blood as a Thompson. My father's bloodline has a rare gene of grey eyes, but my uncle didn't receive those genes.

He must've been waiting for me to be like him since my eyes back then were still blueish grey. I was already 10 when mom noticed that my eye colour fully developed, turning to grey. Some found it odd because only a few people have this colour. Aside from family, friends and doctors, only one girl has seen this. It was the same girl I saw back in the hallway.

"Stop thinking about her", I groaned as I shook my head. Wiping my face with a towel, I heard the door opened. My face seems to scowl at the moment since I can't see far from that much. I didn't bother knowing who it was and returned the contacts to my eyes.

"Lucky me", I heard a sultry voice beside me. I turned to my side to see a girl wearing a white crop top and short shorts that gives a view of her buttocks. Her dark brown locks were a bit disorganized. She has fair skin and a sexy figure, I might add.

"If you'll excuse me," I said with a quick smile. Then a hand stopped me from walking, and somehow she managed to pin me in a wall. She's quick—props to that.

"Not so fast, hotshot," she said. Her heels made it like she's almost as tall as me, just a bit shorter with 2 or 3 inches with the heels on. Her body leaned on mine, and her scent of daisy lingered on my nose.
