Pretending to be a happy cheery guy all the time was exhausting, but he couldn't stop. Nott if he wanted to preserve his reputation.

Xiao Zhan needed a job. He wasn't broke, yet. But he was close. It had been almost a week since he was let go. The company he was working for had experienced a sudden decrease in consumers, losing profit and in the end, just couldn't pay for the number of employees it once could. They were forced to let go of nearly half the number of employees they had before and amongst that group, Xiao Zhan.

'Binbin' he whined. 'What am I going to do? My rent is due in a while and I really need a job.' HIs friend frowned at him through the screen of his laptop.

'I think my sister's boss put out a job advert a few weeks ago.' Yu bin exclaimed after a while. 'And don't call me Binbin.'

'Yeah but your girlfriend's boss is Wang Yibo.' Xiao Zhan responded immediately. 'He's rich and powerful. People will be lining up to work for him just for the benefits.'

'True, but from what my sister says,' Yu bin argued, 'he seems like a smart person. He probably won't hire someone who's obviously there just to use his name.'

'Even so,' Zhan sighed rubbing his temple, 'It's too late. I think the offer is closed now. I don't think they're taking in anymore resumes.'

'But you're forgetting.' Yu bin pushed on. 'My sister works for him. My entire family adores you. I'm sure she'll be more than willing to... erm... well maybe, mention you to her boss?'

'You think?' Zhan asked brightening immediately.

'Sure I'll give her a call now.' Yu bin grinned.

'You're sure this is okay?.' Zhan asked still unsure,

'Yes'

'Okay then...' Zhan returned the grin feeling slightly more hopeful. 'See you tomorrow?'

'See you tomorrow!' Yu bin replied before ending the call.

Xiao Zhan pushed down his laptop lid before forcing himself off the couch and into the bathroom.

'Gotta take a quick shower.' He mumbled to himself. 'Otherwise the bills will be too high....'

WYB:

Wang Yibo listened to the low hum of his car. It calmed him down and allowed him to collect his thoughts. It made slipping into a different mindset easier.

Time to put that cold mask back on... He sighed. Being cold wasn't hard for him, pretending not to care wasn't either. He was brought up in this environment and although he hated the way he acted, he knew that in the end, this was him. He hated the fact that he couldn't bring himself to care, to forgive. But yet again, this was him. In fact the thing that bothered him wasn't that he had to be cold. It was the extent of it. When he first arrived in this department, although already cold due to his upbringing, he soon learned that he had to be even colder, distant and strict than what was considered normal. Well, normal for him.

A black Bugatti raced down the streets at high speed before disappearing, rather abruptly, into a large building.

Ok so I sorta need to put like a disclaimer/fact thing here:

The car I'm talking about is called 'Bugatti La Voiture Noire' which is apparently the most expensive car in the world, currently. The thing is from what I've read (on google images btw) it was sold to 'Austria's richest citizen' which from my perception; means there's only one.

I don't know anything about cars so when looking for this I literally searched up 'Black expensive sports cars' and started going through google images. Then, I saw this:

I mean I just had to use it

I mean I just had to use it. Who cares if there's only one? This is a fanfiction. It's fictional! Right?!?

(Please don't sue me. I'm a little paranoid.)

Just bear in mind that in real life, the real car belongs to 'Austria's richest citizen'. And there's only one (I think).

All eyes were on him as he strode into the hallway. He was used to it. Wang Yibo pretended not to notice the stares, as he always did. He walked towards the far side of the hallway and entered a private lift. He would be away from those stares now.

The lift rose to the top floor and opened with a ding.

Wang Yibo stepped out just in time to see one of his agents wake up with a jolt.

'Miss Meng.' Wang Yibo called out as he swiftly exited the lift. 'In my office please.' before making his way towards the unnecessarily large room, hidden behind a pair of wooden extravagant doors, just a few steps away from his lift. He sat down in his leather office chair before waving his hand, signaling for the girl who had followed him inside to sit down.

Wang Yibo didn't plan on scolding her. There were always situations in which he would give his agents a chance. This made their work relationship better, making it easier for him to rely on his subordinates and them to rely on him.

'Ziyi,' Yibo frowned at her. 'What's wrong? You're one of my top agents. You can't be behaving like this, especially not where you are a role model. A role model to younger, newer agents.'

'I'm sorry sir.' She hung her head. 'It won't happen again.'

Yibo looked at her. Scrutinizing her expression.

'I won't report you this time.' He exclaimed. 'I'm going to give you a few days off, I know your last mission was a little more than we normally ask of you. Take a few days to pull yourself together. This isn't a punishment. I would prefer my agents take a break, pull themselves together, than have them mess up due to overwork and fatigue.'

Meng Ziyi frowned a little, considering his offer. 'Okay' she agreed after a while, 'Thank you sir.'

Then she paused.

'Sir, since you're giving me a day off... is there anything non work related you want done?' she added, hesitant.

'Unless you can get me a good personal assistant then no.' Yibo responded.

Ziyi seemed to think for a moment.

'Ah...' She responded after a while. 'My brother's friend is looking for a job. I used to work with him. He's really hard working and good at just about everything.'

'Mn.' Wang Yibo nodded in acknowledgement.

'He's a very nice person too.' Ziyi replied.

'Unfortunately I already have interviews set up for tomorrow.' Yibo replied.

'Oh.' Ziyi's face fell a little. 'It's fine I guess. If you want to meet him later on just tell me and I'll give you his number.' She smiled one last time before excusing herself and leaving.

If anyone feels offended by ANYTHING please contact me and we can deal with it like civilized human beings, (though to be fair we are getting less and less civilized as the days past.)

Also, constructive criticism IS welcome. I'm always looking to improve. (I feel like all the character I write reflect just how dead inside I am...)
