!!!FICTION!!!!
I honestly find thinking up plotlines and events so much easier than the actual writing part. Sorta irrelevant but I just wanted people to realise just how much effort, time and skill genuine authors use up/have.
When I first started this fic I intended to have like chapters written and re-read a few times before releasing cause that'll help me determine what is worth keeping and what should be changed. But I don't really have time to do that anymore. Nor do I have the effort haha. It's not that I don't want to write this fic, I do, it's just when life gets difficult and hectic sometimes it becomes more difficult to put effort into the small things in life (like hobbies for example).
WYB
The island was covered in dense vegetation, completely untouched by mankind. This generally meant that traveling through the island undetected would be easier as the enemy received no aid from technology. Wang Yibo, however, was not going to take any risks. He still acted diligently and kept his eyes peeled for anything that could possibly alert the enemy.
However, the island's dense vegetation also made it difficult to determine the best route of entry. No one had mapped the small island out beforehand and the trees made it impossible to determine the best entry route through satellite images. So they went with the best possible choice; Wang Yibo entered the mass of mottled green leaves at an angle which was presumably the shortest distance to Luo Qiyang and her captives.
Wang Yibo navigated the forest with a dagger in hand -- to cut away any branches and leaves he could not avoid. He tried to keep the chopping and slicing to a minimum, he wanted to avoid destroying as much of the island's natural habitat as much as possible; it was best if he left no evidence of his arrival on this island as well.
Although he kept his footsteps light, the crunching of leaves and branches followed him deeper into the forest. Wang Yibo hissed as he narrowly dodged a sharp branch that was somehow making its way right towards his eye. Wang Yibo was really starting to wonder how they brought Luo Qiyang into this place. Nevertheless, he kept persisting and followed the signal of Luo Qiyang's tracker as shown on his watch.
The island was small but the vegetation was thick, what should've been a five minute walk took Wang Yibo 10 minutes. At a mere 5m away, Wang Yibo stopped. Strange... apart from the natural sounds of wildlife, there was nothing else. He inched closer and closer to what seemed to be a small clearing underneath the large blanket of leaves, pausing to listen for any signs of human activity along the way.
There was none.
Wang Yibo peered into the clearing, over the bushes and behind the branches, and surveyed the scene. Apart from the large mass of leaves and sticks along with other forest-y things there was nothing.
Once he determined that there was no one around, Wang Yibo made his way into the clearing keeping his guard up.
It was too strange. The tracker was injected into Luo Qiyang's arm and was virtually impossible to detect. Even if the enemy did manage to find it, the tracker should've stopped working as soon as it was removed from her.
Wang Yibo's gaze swept around the small clearing and landed on a tiny red light. It was flickering weakly against whatever sunlight had managed to escape the shadows of the leaves above it. Wang Yibo inched closer and closer to the light. He was just about close enough to reach for it when-
"Did you think y-yyou-r tr-tr-racker would esc-ap-p-pe me?" A voice rang out, loud into the forest. It sounded like an old and slightly damaged retro recording and was accompanied by a strange static sound.
"Y-yy-ibo-o do y-you he-a-a-r me-e?" The recording continued to play, "Wa-ng Yib-b-b-bo yo-u-u canno-t es-ca-ape." and then there was silence.
Wang Yibo was rooted to the spot. He couldn't recognise the voice in the recording but the words they spoke sent a shiver down his spine. He tried to move, he knew he had to but he didn't know how to.
Just who was targeting him?
Who was that?
Who had such a large grudge against him they decided to go this far?
Who-
Wang Yibo's thoughts were interrupted again by the sound of his earpiece opening. He hadn't turned it on so it meant that it must've been forced on by-
"BOMB!!!"
00's voice rang through Wang Yibo's earpiece.
Wang Yibo's mind was still blank and all the credit for his survival went to his years of training and on field experiences.
It was like a reflex, an immediate cause-effect. His mind acknowledged 'bomb' and his muscles moved immediately. He had to clear the field. He didn't have a lot of time so getting far away was impossible but if his luck was good and the bomb was planted inside the small recording it couldn't be that big. Wang Yibo did as he was taught (both by his previous instructors and experience) and dove straight into the thick vegetation he had just emerged from minutes prior. He tried to flatten himself to the ground as much as possible, facing away from the bomb.
There was nothing left to do but to hope.
Sorry for the cliffhanger!! I sincerely hope for your sake that I don't disappear for like another 3 months haha
Hi guys ^^
This is a message from 19th January 2022.
I'm sorry for being gone for so long but I will be graduating this year and that means my life is a bit of a mess right now (exams?!? what exams hahahAHAHA DEADLINES???? AHH???) Yeah so um... sorry?
I will be back I think?
Eventually?
Cause like I do genuinely like this story and I already have everything planned out so it would be HORRIBLE to drop this now even if it's been MONTHS or YEARS IDEK.
I'm sorry
Thank you to everyone who has left a comment on this chapter and any of the chapters before. I'm so grateful for you guys and would love to sincerely thank you guys for sticking with me even with my mess of a update schedule.

FanficTHIS IS PURELY FOR MY OWN SATISFACTION AND NOT A REAL STORY: It is also worth mentioning that this is a fanfiction about real people. As is people with actual feelings, people who can feel hurt and people who should be respected just like you and me...
