!!!THIS IS ENTIRELY FICTIONAL!!!!!

It's sometimes hard not to make assumptions, even though we know assumptions are the cause of many problems.
Xiao Zhan was shocked when he first saw the man. In his mind, he had always envisioned Wang Yibo as a power hungry, bitter old man who lived like a king. Xiao Zhan was relieved that at least the man didn't look old or power hungry. However, Wang Yibo still looked like someone who lives the life of a king. (The grammar over here was confusing haha. 'Lived' makes it sound like he died so I chose 'lives' XD)
As for Wang Yibo, he didn't really have any expectations, assumptions or specific standards. Not after the first four candidates. All he saw when Xiao Zhan walked in was, fake. His smile was fake, his confident façade was fake, just about everything to do with expression or presentation was... fake. Just this alone almost made Wang Yibo send the man out. He, Wang Yibo, wanted someone genuine.
'You may sit down.' Wang Yibo nodded ignoring Xiao Zhan's soaking wet cloths and hair. He also ignored the towel that clung around Zhan's shoulders.
Xiao Zhan, who had been standing awkwardly behind the chair opposite him immediately sat down. Huh, at least this guy has some manners Wang Yibo assessed.
'So, you must be Xiao Zhan?' Wang Yibo inquired, expressionless.
'Yes, good afternoon Mr. Wang.' Xiao Zhan greeted with a smile. Fake, flashed through Wang Yibo's mind again.
'Don't smile.' Wang Yibo couldn't help but say.
'Eh?... Excuse me?' Xiao Zhan was confused.
'Don't smile.' Wang Yibo repeated before expanding seeing Xiao Zhan's still confused expression. 'Don't smile if you don't mean it. Genuineness is valued here. If you aren't truly happy, don't smile.'
'How did he...' Xiao Zhan mumbled to himself before slipping into a whirlwind of thoughts.
'So, you used to work an office job?' Wang Yibo asked pulling Xiao Zhan out of his very confused thoughts.
'Ye-' Xiao Zhan started.
'but you graduated with a degree in designing?' Wang Yibo cut across him.
'Yes' Xiao Zhan replied immediately.
'Why?' Wang Yibo asked. Although the question was extremely vague, Xiao Zhan felt he understood completely.
'I couldn't find well paid design related job in time.' Xiao Zhan answered honestly. 'I was running out of money and time.'
'Meng Ziyi said that you were skilled in almost everything.' Wand Yibo quoted his employee. 'Are you not skilled enough to find a way to achieve your goals?'
'I'm not going to lie,' Xiao Zhan looked down as though ashamed, 'I've never really had goals, I did what I felt like doing. I think maybe my lack of ambition had something to do with where I've gotten.'
'There's nothing wrong with having no goals.' Wang Yibo said, still expressionless. 'What skills do you have that you are particularly proud of?'
'Well I can cook quite well, draw, sort out papers....'
Wang Yibo soon learned to appreciate the person in front of him. Both of them felt that the interview was going quite well. Xiao Zhan who had to constantly stop himself from 'fake' smiling out of habit was exhausted but hopeful, nonetheless.
Soon, Wang Yibo could ask his final question. This was the question which would determine whether or not Xiao Zhan was be suitable for the job.
'Why should I give you this job?' Wang Yibo had thoroughly assessed the person in front of him and was merely trying to figure out whether this man would exaggerate his abilities or say nothing but the truth.
'Well, I've always wanted to be someone's personal assistant.' Xiao Zhan replied before expanding on it. 'I'm the type of person people can rely on. No matter how fake my reaction to something may be,' Xiao Zhan shrugged as he referenced Yibo's earlier remark, 'I'll always be willing to help a friend.' Though he didn't really answer the question; Xiao Zhan smiled, genuinely, and this time Wang Yibo returned that smile.
'Congratulations Mr. Zhan, you got the job.'

XZ:
He didn't expect to start immediately. He thought he'd be contacted and told to come in on a different date. But as soon as the interview finished, Wang Yibo called Richard in and told him to give Xiao Zhan a tour of the house.
The house was huge, and Zhan was having a hard time processing it all. He finally understood why the man who had opened the door for him, the man who turned out to be head of cleaning, looked so frustrated. Imagine having to clean all the muddy footprints he would've left behind.
'I don't think I'm going to be able to remember everything.' Zhan admitted. 'This mansion is much too big.'
'Don't worry' Richard smiled, 'Mr. Wang doesn't normally live here. This house is more often than not, used only for work.' Xiao Zhan stopped walking out of shock.
'He has 2 ho-?' Zhan asked, 'I mean mansions? Sheesh I can hardly even pay my own rent!'
Richard chuckled a little. 'This mansion – as you call it- he inherited from his parents. However, it's much too big for one person to live in. Even with all the staff. It'd be too lonely, so he decided to build his own, smaller, more private and less business-related house.'
'He has more than 2 houses, doesn't he?' Xiao Zhan questioned rolling his eyes.
'How many houses does he have...? That is not for me to say.' Richard smiled a little. 'Anyways, this is the living room.'
'Wait Richard?' Xiao Zhan paused for a moment.
'Hmm?' Richard turned towards him.
'Did you say he lives alone?' Xiao Zhan asked.
'Yes'
'Doesn't Mr. Wang have a brother?' Xiao Zhan questioned.
'That is something you must ask Mr. Wang yourself.' Richard replied, 'This is something Mr. Wang must be willing to tell you first.'
Xiao Zhan nodded, he understood. He too, had a complicated relationship with his brother.
