!!!!THIS IS ENTIRELY FICTIONAL!!!!
XZ:
He had never experienced shock that could wipe his mind blank but hey, there's a first for everything.
It was a Sunday which meant that Xiao Zhan didn' technically have to go to work, but he felt he should start getting into the habit of waking up early. So instead of lying in bed for a few hours Xiao Zhan decided to start packing.
'Clothes' He mumbled to himself as he got up and walked towards his wardrobe to stare blankly at his clothes for a few minutes out of sheer fatigue.
When he finally snapped out of his daze, after stuffing everything into a small suitcase, Xiao Zhan soon realised that he was probably going to have to invest in some more clothes. He had packed enough to spend practically every weekday at Wang Yibo's house but now he wasn't sure if he had enough left for his weekends. However, Xiao Zhan was going to have to wait for his pay cheque; with this month's rent almost due, he definitely didn't have enough money to waste on clothes.
----------o0o----------
Xiao Zhan heaved his suitcase out of the taxi, handing the driver some change and dragging the small bag towards Wang Yibo's house - Xiao Zhan's sleeping accommodations for every weekday onwards.
Just incase someone's confused: The suitcase isn't that big, XZ is just weak rn from lack of sleep XD
Once he got to the gate, Xiao Zhan paused, unsure of what to do. (I don't know if Chinese houses have like walls surrounding them but houses where I'm from do and I'm south-east asian so Imma just assume that it's the same - yes we have walls and gates surrounding (most of) our houses, it's to decrease the chances of anyone successfully sneaking in... and possibly murdering someone... ik my entire family is paranoid haha 😅)
Should I ring the bell? He wondered. In truth, he could just walk in as his fingerprint had already been registered into the house's main computer system or whatever Richard had called it. Xiao Zhan had felt an urge to call this system the house's brain but was afraid he'd confuse someone. In the end, after deciding that this was the weekend - meaning he shouldn't actually be here - Xiao Zhan decided to lightly push against the small metal button.
A faint ring could be heard from somewhere inside the house. Xiao Zhan expected to be greeted by Richard or some other employee and was definitely not expecting Wang Yibo to walk out of the house, himself, towards Xiao Zhan with a rather terrifying expression.
'Um...' Xiao Zhan's mind went blank temporarily.
'Um...?' Wang Yibo's expression morphed from terrifying to questioning. 'Did you forget to check the day?' He asked, the edges of his lips curling upwards slightly.
'No...?' Xiao Zhan answered - it sounded more like a question.
'Then why are you here?' Wang Yibo inquired.
'I...' Still suffering from shock, Xiao Zhan couldn't process what Wang Yibo had just said and could only stand there confused, adding to the already awkward atmosphere. Wang Yibo looked at him as though telling him to carry on but Xiao Zhan was still frozen. Who knew the boss would be the one to come out and greet him? 'I.... I didn't know you'd be the one to come get the door...' Xiao Zhan answered but didn't answer anything at all.
'I can tell' Wang Yibo replied with an expression that clearly said, I'm superior, I know everything, you don't have to narrate the obvious.
'I..' Xiao Zhan's mind was still suffering from shock and he didn't know what to say.
'You...' Wang Yibo stared into him, eyebrows raised. 'You are here... because...?'
'I am here... because....' Xiao Zhan repeated after him 'I am here because.... here... because....er...' Wang Yibo rolled his eyes. 'Because I thought I'd start unpacking here and getting into routine for when I finally do start working to avoid something like this again.' Xiao Zhan answered in one breath as soon as he saw his employer shift towards the house. It seemed like his brain had finally started functioning again.
'I hope we don't end up in a situation like this again.' Wang Yibo announced quite straightforwardly.
This has been proofread but not exactly edited. Like I mean I read it and fixed some spelling mistakes but I haven't gone back to fix any grammar mistakes.
I tried to make my writing less boring than it usually is... which I think means it's less formal? (I mean less formal is a good thing considering this is a fictional story.)

Fiksi PenggemarTHIS IS PURELY FOR MY OWN SATISFACTION AND NOT A REAL STORY: It is also worth mentioning that this is a fanfiction about real people. As is people with actual feelings, people who can feel hurt and people who should be respected just like you and me...
