If someone hates you for not letting them destroy you, let them hate you.

When the vet left me and Jaromir, his work finished and a few little phials of blood richer, I hurried to move over to my tiger.

I was so scared that he was dead because I couldn't see his chest move, no matter how hard I concentrated.

"Damn... damn, wo findet man bei nem Tiger den Puls. Scheiße, man. Jaromir! Bitte! Hey!" , I yelled while fumbling around at his neck, trying to dig through the massive amount of fur and find a spot where I could feel his pulse.

Nothing.

Which didn't mean that Jaromir didn't have a pulse, it just meant that I was incapable of finding it.

"Jaromir..." , I breathed, panic was pumping though my body.

Yeah... Calm down, little one.

"Oh, thank god!" , I gasped

I think you forgot about the part where you die when I do...

Uhm... yeah... In retrospect my panic might have been totally stupid.

If Jaromir died, I died. He'd established that. I had forgotten it just as quickly as I tended to forget about things I wanted to do when I left a room.

It's alright... This is all new to you. And mistakes is what humans make. Me too, by the way. More so since I have been linked with Amy but still. Mistakes come with being free to make your own decisions. That doesn't mean that we shouldn't make decision though.

I smiled at my tiger friend and proceeded to massage his fur. Again and again I dug my fingers into the fluffy, soft mass that covered Jaromir's body. He was especially soft around the ears and the face fluff. Gently stroking over that hair felt just great. It calmed me down and he seemed to enjoy it too. A lot.

Since we shared our emotions both our happiness and feeling of comfort mixed and multiplied, lulling us in.

It was an amazing, breath-taking feeling.

Jaromir made a strange, guttural noise and I flinched. It sounded kind of like a purr but also not at all. It didn't last for as long as a purr would have and it was deeper, darker and there were multiple little noises overlapping.

That's how tigers express happiness.

"But.. can't you, like, purr?"

What's purring?

I send him a memory of my cat Jaromir, lying curled up in my lap, vibrating with purrs.

No, no, I can not do that. It sounds cute though.

"Well, it's alright then, I like the sound you make too" , I chuckled and then I went on petting my big, orange friend.

We sat like this for just a moment or maybe it had been an eternity before we were interrupted by a knock at the door.

I snapped out of my daze and turned my head to glare at the door.

"What is it with these people and knocking?!" , I hissed. Jaromir blinked and yawned. It appeared that he didn't have anything to say on this matter.
