No one hates you for who you are but for who they are not.

I don't know what I had expected from this little swimming adventure but this most certainly wasn't it.

It did not live up to my childhood swimming pool memories in fun.

The first thing I had to go through was Agent Keene taking over and undressing me, despite me constantly protesting that I could do that myself.

Despite all of my protest she insisted that there was no other way and that we'd never get into the water if I did the undressing myself because I'd take that long.

She was right and I hated that fact with all my heart.

Jaromir was highly amused by my embarrassment and unease concerning this matter.

I never understood the problems you humans have with being naked. I'm naked all the time.

I threw my embarrassment at him with as much force as I could muster which made him flinch a little.

Good.

This emotion is totally alien to me by the way. Embarrassment, I mean. Amy wasn't embarrassed, like, ever. She just did things. And feeling like this isn't something the average tiger experiences.

"Good for you. And her" , I hissed in his direction, feeling strangely jealous of this oh so great Amy. Agent Keene threw me a suspicious glance. I just glared at her because I wasn't going to explain myself and she went on with undressing me but I could have sworn that one of her hands had twitched towards her hip for a second. She was probably carrying a weapon with her.

No verbal communication with Jaromir then if I didn't want to be shot for discussing embarrassment with my tiger friend. What happened to the freedom of speech thing? Didn't they have that in America too? And in the MCU?

Probably but it apparently didn't apply to me.

You aren't naked by the way. You're literally covered in fur, I explained to Jaromir.

You've got some fur yourself though.

Jaromir was right. Since I had been unconscious for three months I hadn't had the chance to shave my legs for an extended period of time. And I hadn't found the energy to shave them yesterday. Due to this my legs were covered in disturbingly long, dark hair.

Now you're embarrassed because your legs aren't naked? You humans are utterly strange. Isn't growing hair, like, a natural thing that just happens to you guys?!

You don't understand..., I protested, it's just how humans work. They make up rules and expect you to stick to them.

Well, don't stick to their dumb rules then.

That was easy to say for a tiger who didn't have responsibilities because it was, well, a tiger. It didn't have to work or dress in a certain way or sit in a certain way and look a certain way.

A tiger was a tiger and a tiger was a beautiful, impressive animal that sparked fear and respect in most and the stupid idea of having one as a pet in others.

Being human came with great responsibility no one ever asked for.

It's not that easy. If you don't stick to their rules they will despise you for being different. They will cast you out, judge you, look down on you.
