Sex:
The females are often referred to as vixens, and the males are referred to as dogs. Their offspring are known as pups.

Appearance:
An enfield can take a similar appearance to the human creature known as a fox. Most of its body imitates a common red fox. However, the front legs of an enfield are like birds, feathers extending from the legs and creating wings. Its front paws are clawed and copy the structure of a bird, and the tail is longer than the average red fox. Apart from the red and white fur, the enfield is also covered in feathers to make it more aerodynamic.
Some enfields can look like an artic fox, its feathers and fur white to help it blend in with its surroundings. Other enfields can take the shape of a fennec fox as well.

Mating:
Enfields mate only once and for life. The dog will remain with the vixen until death, teaching the pups hunting. Enfields can give birth to three up to seven pups, and after a year of the vixen mothering them, the dog will begin to educate them.
During mating seasons, the vixens will choose a dog or find one, depending on where they are inhabiting. The vixen stays in charge of the whole affair, but the dog will educate.

Hunting:
As mentioned above, the dogs educate the pups in hunting, but both vixens and dogs hunt. Enfields do not hunt in packs, but they can hunt as a family. Enfields fight over food and territory often, so if they run into another enfield family or even just a single enfield, a fight will occur.

Temperament:
Enfields are timid creatures, they prefer to be left alone. They're independent creatures known to adapt to their surroundings quite fast. Enfields can become a valuable pet, for they will hunt the rodents in your home and silently protect you; they are known for their loyalty. However, do not purchase or trade an enfield from a dealer in the market, they have been beaten and frightened too much and will most likely die.

Rarity:
Most enfields have feathers to create wings, but some aren't quite as lucky. Enfields are a bread of chimera, meaning they are made of many parts. Over the years, most enfields have evolved and changed to be known as half bird, half fox. However, the true enfield has the head of a fox, the chest of a greyhound, the body of a lion, the hindquarters and tail of a wolf, and forelegs like an eagle's talons like the image below. To find an enfield like this is extremely rare, and almost extinct, but this is what they truly are.

On other occasions, the enfield can be born without excessive feathers and wings. Thus leaving it flightless but more like the original enfield.
