WITHERING ROSES

New beginnings(the end actually)

"you never cease to amaze me Kalyan!*wider smile*"
"*finding it difficult to blush in my skin tone*"

          Suddenly she held my hand. She slowly slipped her hand under mine and rested her head on my shoulder. Me? I was looking no less than a deer in headlights with every hair on my body standing straight. Though this was not the first time she rested her head on my shoulder, it felt better than the first time knowing that I fought and suffered for this girl and I finally got what I want. To just be with her again. She was resting on my shoulders for pretty long as she kept pressing my hand, things seemed peaceful. Until fate sent her driver back. She got up. She looked at me.

"here.." she said and gave me the rose from her pocket.
"what's this for?*Smile*" I asked.
"i-I took it from a rose bed in the park. You may not know it but there is a rose bed in an isolated corner. It was getting sunlight but no water. It was withering when I first found it...... I poured water for it ever since and well......"

I was dumbstruck. The times I thought the park keeper poured water all of a sudden for the rose, I was wrong. That guy was still a dick. It was Ankita who was pouring water......she did it every morning. I did it every evening, and we had no idea about this. I looked at the bright red rose in full bloom. I didn't know what to say.

"wow......"
".........*smiles*"
"I-uh......it-it's beautiful...just like you..."
"*blushes*"

   She looked at her car then down.
"come here.." I said and pulled her for a hug. She hugged me.
I looked at her after hugging her, she looked sad. She got into the car with the same sad face. That's when I remembered something.

"did I hug you wrong or something?*smile*" I asked.
She looked at me, then grinned wide.
"no! absolutely not, it's how I look before leaving my boyfriend!!!*I could see all 32 teeth*"
"tomorrow, same place, same time?"
"sure!*grin*"

          I walked a little behind the car, slowly, expecting something and she did it. She came out of the car and ran towards me. I stood there with a wide grin, and open arms, laughing a little. She jumped and bear hugged me. To be honest, she was sitting on me like a koala to a thin branch. Her legs on my hips, she placed her forehead on mine and looked at my eyes, chuckling. Our noses touched, this time I closed my eyes with a smile. I could feel her breath. She gave a peck on my nose and got down. I looked at her.
"wow. You sure can run!*laughs*"
       She laughed too, then she took a selfie with both of us showing real smiles.

"I love you teddy bear!" I said
She blushed and got in the car.
"hey where's my I love you back!!?" I shouted after her as the car started moving.
"get it from me tomorrow!!!!" she shouted back.

I watched her mini cooper go down the road with a smile. This, was just the beginning......
