Chapter thirty five

So I have an amazing editor now. Her names TytoLupus and y'all should totally read her book Queen of ravens, sand, and storm it's pretty awesome. So anyway story time.

Chapter thirty five.

The sun was setting now and I was exhausted. We decided that we would sit in the sand and just watch the sunset, which is my absolute favorite thing to do. We lay some dry towels down where they wouldn't get wet and walked down the beach to the showers to rinse off and change into dry clothes.

I changed into a pair of denim shorts and a loose pink tank top. I put my hair into a wet messy bun and stuck a sparkly head band in it. I walk out of the building and see Adam waiting for me already changed in cargo shorts and still shirtless.

I may have seen his abs all day but dayum were they hawt. I walked over to him and he slinks his arm around my waist and I sink into his side. We walked together back to our towels and laid out over them. We ate Doritos and bean dip and watched the sunset disappear over the horizon.

Just as the sun was disappearing and the last rays of natural light came towards our eyes, Adam reached over and kissed be softly. It was a nice kiss though, soft and light, not forcing me into anything. He helps me up and we get in the truck for the drive back home as it's time to leave.

After a long car ride we finally get back to my house at like around three in the morning. Adam carries me inside and let's me down in my room with all my stuff. I say a sleepy goodbye to him and he quietly leaves to go to his own house.

I'm snuggled into my bed and comfortable and thinking about Adam when I hear tapping on my window. I look over and open my eyes just enough to see pebbles hitting my window. I only know one person who would do that... Ethan. And he's not exactly someone I want to see right now, so I just ignore him and hope he will go away. It takes about twenty minutes of insanely annoying tapping but eventually he does.

I fall into a dreamless sleep as soon as it's been quiet for ten minutes and it feels like it's only been five minutes when I wake up. I roll over and turn my phone on and see that it's two o'clock. I slept for way longer than I thought I did, but I feel pretty well rested.

Then I see all the messages.
