Chapter Twenty

Chapter Ninteen was a bit strange I know, but bear with me. It was necessary for the story line, I think but I honestly have no idea what the hell I am doing although I just got an idea.

CHAPTER TWENTY!!!

Kate's P.O.V

When I wake up in the morning, I notice that something is different, the bed feels more empty than the night before which is strange. I roll over and don't see Ethan on the other side if the bed.

Over the past few days, my relationship with him has intensified, but part of me still loves Adam. And I just.... don't feel that way towards Ethan I guess you could say. I love him but not in the way that I think he loves me. I don't want to be more than friends, he's too good of a friend to me I don't want to ruin that.

With Ethan not here I have no reason to stay so I roll out of the bed, straighten my hair up a little bit and walk downstairs, calling good bye to his mom. When I get outside I find that the weather is pleasant today and I can probably wear shorts which I'm grateful for.

When I get to my house I let myself in and go straight up to my room to change clothes because I'm still in yesterdays'. I end up taking a shower and just putting on sweats to have a lazy day. I waste the day away by laying in bed listening to music and reading fan fictions, my obsession, and watching movies on Netflix.

I go downstairs at lunch time to grab some food. I grab some cookies and chips and some strawberries and put then onto a plate. I also pour myself a glass of water and take but my cup and plate upstairs to resume my day of nothing.

After another four hours it's dinner time. I hear my mother call me down so I do so. When I get to the dining room I see my favorite meal, ground meat and gravy on noodles, on the table. Even though my day had not been bad, I immediately felt happier at the sight of the best meal in the world.

I sat down and we all served ourselves. After we all had our food we said our evening prayer and dug into the amazing food in front of us. I ended up having three portions of food and by the time I was done, I was stuffed.

I help clear the table and begin washing up dishes and handing them to my little sister Austin to dry.

Austin is fourteen and doest know shes beautiful. She has red hair and green eyes. She's also small for her age but she makes up for it with her attitude.

We finish cleaning up quickly and head back upstairs to our rooms. After about five minutes she comes into my room with a request.

"Kate can you give me a make over pleaseeeee."

Having a soft spot for her I agree and soon have my make up and hair supplies out besides me with her in front. Even though she's fourteen we still have a good relationship, doing girly stuff like make overs and stuff. I enjoy doing this stuff with her.

I ask her how she wants her hair and she asks me to curl it. I plug in my curler and once it's heated up enough, I begin curling her straight auburn hair. Once I'm finished I turn her around and apply eye shadow and lip gloss to her and then tell her she's done.

She jumps up and runs over to my mirror so she can see how she looks. She gasps and I can tell she likes it. She looks adorable no matter what but I can see that when she grows up she's going to have a boy friend very quickly.

She thanks me and every time I reply with, "Anything for you Austin. I love you so much"

Eventually she retreats back to her room and I change into my pajamas to go to bed early. I slip in between my sheets and fall asleep quickly.
