Chapter Fifteen

I wake up and instantly remember, he broke up with me. I lost my bestfriend. He was just...gone. All because if that Emma character, who does she think she is?

I block the sadness from my mind and get ready, as if today were a normal day. When Im finally ready I walk downstairs and grab some breakfast.

Blake is already in the kitchen and when he sees me, he gives me a sad smile. Of course he already knew, Adam is one of his friends too. Ugh I hope the whole school dosent that would be really embarrassing. Besides, I do need some privacy for my life. Not everything should be shared you know.

I ignore his pointed looks that make it so obvious he wants an explanation for the break up and my sour mood. He may be awesome when it comes to being a brother, he's crap at knowing when I want privacy or anyone else for that matter.

So I eat my strawberry pop tarts, the whole time not uttering a word to him. When I'm done I place my plate in the dishwasher and head upstairs to grab my bag for school.

It's a nice day so I end up walking again. What would have been a nice walk to school is ruined when Adam and Emma walk by together. What hurts even more is he's holding her hand and they look so happy together.... Whatever if he moves on that quickly, he's soo not worth my tears.

They see me and speed up their pace to get past me and far enough away. Wow that hurts a lot thanks Adam. I slow down to aid them in their quest to be away from me and when I arrive at school, that's when IT happens.

Everyone stops what they're doing, and stares at me walking in, alone, behind Adam and Emma. They keep staring and I can feel my face beginning to heat up, a blush coming on. Then Ethan, a guy I don't know really well says something to everyone that makes them stop staring and begin to whisper.

He says, "Why are y'all making such a big deal out of their breakup? How'd y'all feel if it were yours. That's right, Not good." I don't know Ethan very well, just that he's in the classes that I have with Adam. Hmm maybe I should sit by him today.

Every where I go, the whispers follow me. It gets old after the first passing period and my goodish mood from the morning, yeah that's long gone. Even my friends have abandoned me, all except for Paige, Kylie, Leah and Abby. As I thought in the morning, in my classes with Adam, I request to sit with Ethan for the rest of the grading period. My request, in all except for one class, is accepted.

Lunch. That was hell all in itself. Ethan sat with us, the strange thing is when I accidentally touched him, I felt something. But anyway back to lunch. I sat in between Paige and Ethan, who is quickly becoming my friend. It feels strange to look across the cafeteria and see Adam with another girl, looking completely happy, so much that the waterfalls almost reopen.
