Chapter Eighteen

"hyung? hyung? hyung?!" jeongin screams out at the elder, who was spaced out whilst driving.

"yah! jeongin, what the fuck! i could've crashed the car," jeongguk yells back at the younger, as he side-eyes him with a glare.

"you would've crashed regardless if you continued spacing out like that," jeongin sasses back.

"you know, since you've learned how to handle alcohol, you've been pretty bold as of lately. don't think i won't hesitate to deck you in the jaw, jeongin," he threatens, glaring at the younger.

"is there something on your mind? you're really out of it today," he asks the elder, turning to face him, only to see jeongguk's jaw was clenched.

"mhm," was all he replied to his brother.

"you were distracted during practice, you were the worst i've ever seen, are you sure you're not lacking something."

"look jeongin, if you haven't noticed, my boyfriend hasn't contacted me or even showed up to school in two weeks ... so yeah, i'd say i have good reasons to be distracted."

jeongin sighs, "you have the championship coming up though. i know tae-tae hyung is important to you, but there will be college scouts at that game."

"since when have you been so invested in my life?" jeongguk asks, smiling cockily at the younger.

"since momma yongsun won't stop talking about it, i'm practically forced to hear all about your big game and how it'll land you at snu."

"so what do you suggest i do, huh? since you wanna be all-knowing and shit now." jeongguk mocks, putting the car to a stop at a red light.

"dude, it's not my relationship. i'm not trying to involve myself but i do have one thing to say. just speak to him, you're both adults and should be able to communicate in a committed relationship," jeongin responds, rolling his eyes.

"never mind, you're no help,"

jeongin tsk, "it's not that hard! just pick up your phone and ask him if you guys can talk. it's not that much of a challenge,"

jeongguk just sat there, not touching his phone, stalling a lot of time as he argues with himself in his head about the pros and cons of texting taehyung to meet up somewhere.

"forget it. you're a hopeless case, i'll do it myself," jeongin groans and snatches the phone from the cup holder.

x's tour this summer! also got some tickets for nct
127 concert too! i can't wait to hear haechan's high
note in highway to heaven live 🥺
