"You're not the problem. You've never been the problem| Unknown

[04]

THREE weeks and two days it's been, since school started. Everything has been going so well at school. Academically we are passing and physically we look happy.

Ellena felt very distant from me since we took Ashanty in as our new bestie.

"Ellena what the hell are you doing" Ashanty shouts, making us all jump.

Ellena sat still on her chair slightly embarrassed. A tear escaped from her right eye and I quickly used my thumb pad to wipe it away.

"What's going on Ashanty" I yelled to get clarity still wallowing in confusion.

"See what she's done while we were busy talking" She pointed to her plate in complete annoyance.

People from the Cafeteria extended their necks to get clarity. Charlet and her girls especially. I looked at Ashanty's plate and it seemed empty and as far as I remembered she was doing nothing more apart from talking.

Ashanty is a very talking being. She jokes and laughs about anything. And if talking was a paid job, she would spend the rest of her life doing it. I mean she would be a billionaire by now.

"Fat Pig!" Charlet laughed clapping her hands.

"Ashanty is this what you've signed up for" another one of Charlet's puppets continues.

And so judgements continued round circles surrounded our table.

"Oh please just get lost" Ashanty shouts at Charlet.

"Ash.....I'm so sorry I didn't mean to finish all your food. The food really tasted good and I figured you weren't that hungry." Ellena apologises pulling her glasses up and facing down nervously.

She scoffs "Ain't that hungry? Am I not human enough like you" I could see Ashanty was really getting more pissed at the crowd.

"Ashanty! Just drop it. Let the girl be. I will buy you another plate if that will make you happy." I rescued Ellena.

"You know what? Let's just go" Ashanty said standing up, throwing the table cloth back into her place.

"Let's go Ellena" I helped Ellena up, getting the money from my purse and handing it to the waitress who stood before us.

I could hear Charlet laughing loudly behind us and throwing hisses in the air.

"Ash...was that really necessary? Com'on it's just food" I lectured.

"You know what Amber, I'm still getting used to this bull shit. I was really starving" she curses.

"Ellena, didn't your parents ever teach you about borrowing " I yelled at her decently.

She sniffs in and tear drops clear fell on her cabby cheeks.

"Oh please stop being such a cry baby" Ashanty rolls her eyes at her.

"We are friends and things like this shouldn't upset us. And Ellena I won't keep saving you all the time. You need to woman up and face your fears." I cried out loud.

Ashanty loudly laughed, leaving both Ellena and I on curious alert.

"Ellena you would be stupid enough to ever believe I was actually mad at you, would you." She scoffs, lifting Ellena's chin up.

"Huh" Ellena sniffs, wiping her tears off.

"Ash...what the hell" I yelled in confusion.

"I really just needed to get out of that place fast and I didn't know how to tell you guys. I couldn't stand my ex-bestfriends, out there being jolly without me." She finally pleads guilty.

"Girl? You're insane. See how terrible you made my girlfriend feel. Please apologize to her." I smiled giving her a fist on her shoulders. Making her giggle.

"Ellena my love, I'm so sorry. Will you forgive me.

She nods shyly.

"You gotta get used to me" Ashanty added and they both smiled in unison.

"But you ate up  all my food though" she teases and giggled. We both laughed and drove all the way home.

Ella seemed unpleased with the apology though. The event left her emotionless. I had a feeling she might do something stupid.
