"ELLENA hurry up, we'll be late for your date. I really hope he accepts you the way you are" I squeezed my hands together still wondering if she had changed her mind yet. I have been covering up for her so many times already and I was starting to feel really guilty incase something bad was to happen to her.

"Be down in a minute" she yelled.

Ellena has finally accepted to go on a date with a stranger and I'll be her cop for the night. I agreed to go with her but we will sit on separate tables. I will get to see Daren through the restaurant's lights. I would sit at my own table far from theirs, just to observe since he has agreed to meet at a public place. Best way to meet a stranger.

Ellena came early to my house just to get ready. She wore a pair of blue jeans and a comfortable blouse. She has really lost so much  weight that she could fit into some of my clothes.

Finally after all the get ready, do my make up and hair, I called Mom to let her know that I was going to do my assignment at the Library with Ellena and I would probably be back late so she should probably grab dinner on her way home.

As we walked into the restaurant, Daren was already there, sitting comfortably at the table of two. Having a bottle of water.

"I don't think I can do this" Ellena turns back around to face me.

"Well too late for that" I giggled.

"No seriously Amber, I think I'm having a nervous breakdown"

I chuckled yet again as I witnessed Ellena taking deep breaths one by one. "You'll be fine Ella. Just see if you two can get along and if not, give me a greenlight so we can get the hell out of here"

Lastly she turns back around glancing at Daren and than back to me, "Do you think he's gonna like me?"

I gazed at Daren and sighed, "I don't know"

Daren had a nicely shaved beard following his thick jawline and a masculine tone.

I sat quietly at a table next to theirs and ordered a cup of icecream just so I don't look suspicious. I raised my focus back to my phone before I could hear Ellena's sticky voice towards Daren.

"D-daren?"

Daren raised his focus up to Ellena and zoomed her from head to toe. "I'm sorry, Do I know you?"

Quite shy but sneaky Ellena replied, "Ahm, it's me. Do you mind if I sit?"

Still stuck his gaze on Ellena, "Sorry I'm waiting for someone"

"I guess you're waiting for me. Anna Marry?" She raised a brow.

"You're Kidding?" He faked a smirk.

"I wish I was" She smiled and slowly inserted her self on the available empty chair opposite to Daren  and made herself comfortable.

Daren still roaming in confusion, "Wow you" He cleared his throat. "YOU look so Different "

Ellena chuckles a little and finally replies "Yeah I know, I can Explain"

"Well start now!"

I guess patience wasn't part of his vocabulary. Soon enough Ellena started explaining. She seemed to be the only one talking and Daren was doing nothing else apart from nodding and shaking his head. However he seemed unpleased by the entire story.

Finally after I observed Ellena talking too much, I took my phone and slid a text to  Ellena, warning her of what to say and what to avoid. Because once she starts talking you'll even wonder if she has a filter.

"Are you Okay?" Daren questions after noticing Ellena's frown that appeared lightly on her angle face.

"Yeah, it's just my grandmother"

"What happened to her?"

"She choked"

Daren leaned back on his chair and mumbles, "Well great, just great! Her family is crazy too"

"Pardon me, did you say something?"

"No! And you know what, I'm out of here. Kiss your grandmother goodbye for me and don't you dare call me ever again!"

Ellena still jammed on her chair, she watched Daren leave, leaving her with thousands of unexpressed emotions. I sneaked up on her without even noticing my presence.

Leaning behind her chair, I whispered "That guy is an idiot Ellena. Let him leave"

"Wow, did you see that?" She chuckled still sitting comfortably in humiliation.

"Did you really have to lie about your Ouma?"

"I freaked out okay! I mean the guy literally had nothing else left to say"

"You lied to him Ellena"

"Whatever, he's not even cute anyway!" She fake laughed but deep down I knew she wanted to scream for being humiliated in front of the entire  restaurant.

I chuckled at the thought and made my way out, "Come on, let's go home"

"Do you think he liked me even a tiny bit?" She asks on our way out.

"Who cares if he likes you or not?" I giggled.

"I do"

"Well I don't know. It's his loss anyway. You're an amazing woman. That's all that matters."
