chapter 21:   (tw : mentions of suicide and self-harm)

It had been a while since Jeonghan went to a party and he wasn't letting his opportunity go to waste. After saying hi to Mingyu and his friends, he looked around, talking to different people. Despite meeting many new people, no one sparked interest in him. After a while, he ended up going back to Joshua, who stayed by Mingyu's side.

"Hey, where's Junhui?" Jeonghan asked, noticing Joshua's expression fall at the mention of the name.

"Right here," Jun's voice said from behind and back-hugged him. "You really came!"

"Sure did." He turned around with a smile.

"Your makeup looks great," he complimented. "As always."

"Aww, thanks. You look good too."

"You think so?"

Jeonghan nodded and watched as a smile grew onto the other's face.

"I was sort of trying to impress-" he cut himself off when he noticed Mingyu and Joshua were still here. He held onto Jeonghan's wrist and pulled him to a less crowded area.

"Is it the cat boy you're trying to impress?" Jeonghan remembered he'd asked Seungcheol about his name but he refused to give any answer.

The Chinese boy looked around nervously, but nodded. "He's supposed to be here but I haven't seen him yet."

"Do you know his name?"

"Yeah, Wonwoo."

"Then let's go find him!" Jeonghan exclaimed and dragged Junhui back into the crowd.

After asking around, it didn't take very long to find the man Junhui said was Wonwoo standing with a couple of other men who looked around their age. Jeonghan recognized one as Mingyu's boyfriend, Minghao. Though neither Jeonghanh nor Minghao had anything against each other and occasionally talked, the Korean didn't know if it'd be the smartest decision to talk to him after what happened with Seungcheol the other day.

But after contemplating whether Wonwoo was worth it, he decided to say "screw it" because he was getting Junhui that dick.

"Hey," Jeonghan interrupted their conversation. All eyes looked over, confused, but Minghao immediately recognized him.

"Jeonghan!" he smiled and waved.

"You know him?" Wonwoo asked.

"Oh, meet Jeonghan." Jeonghan knew he was probably being nice because Mingyu was near. Not that the man was ever mean to him, just never nice. He was introduced to Wonwoo and Hansol. Jeonghan introduced them to Junhui, who most apparently already knew.

"How've you two been?" Wonwoo asked.

"Been alright, you?" Jeonghan answered while Junhui seemed to not be able to speak.

They initiated small conversations and Jeonghan realized Wonwoo was nice enough, even if he was a part of a gang. But then again, so was Seungcheol. After a bit, Junhui seemed to have grown comfortable enough to joke around. Unfortunately, he had to bring up Joshua somehow.

"Oh, Jeonghan," Minghao interrupted. "How's Joshua and your other friend?"

"They've been fine." Jeonghan tried not to address the mocking tone he used when referring to Seungcheol. "Speaking of Joshua, I should go back to him."

He left Junhui with the group and looked around for Joshua.

He sort of wished he hadn't when he saw the boy dancing with a girl.
