chapter 24

Jeonghan walked past Joshua, who was carrying a glass of water, before stopping.

"Joshua?" he turned around and the American immediately stopped. He looked concerned; was it Jeonghan's voice or the fact he'd called him by his real name? Didn't matter. "Seungcheol asked you to go get the car fixed."

"Sure, I'll get it fixed after work."

"You're working today?" Jeonghan frowned at the thought of being alone again.

Joshua nodded with a sigh. It was clear he was annoyed but he was too kind to say it. Jeonghan didn't deserve a friend like him but he couldn't help but be annoying. He hated loneliness since it always led to a depressive episode. Why couldn't he just be supportive?

"Good luck then." He gave a soft smile before walking downstairs to the sound of his phone ringing.

'Junnie: 3 missed calls'

Oh boy, was he about to get an earful.

"Hi, Jun."

"Jeonghan, I called you a thousand times, what happened? Doesn't matter, glad you're alright, how's Seungcheol?"

"He's fine."

"As he should be. Is Joshua coming to work?"

"Yeah, in like an hour." Ask about everyone but me, that's fine.

"Alright, Mingyu said it'd be alright if he didn't, after all that had happened yesterday. Anyways, tell Seungcheol to stop beating himself up."

"Why do you know so much about-"

Call ended.

Jeonghan would've thought Junhui was some type of guardian angel if they existed.

He put the thought aside and lied onto the couch to do what he always did when he was stressed: sleep.
