"Life's all about moments, of impact and how they changes our lives forever. But what if one day you could no longer remember any of them?..."
Luke would thank God and everything good.
Groaning, He turned his head to look around the room.
Nobody's even watching this goddamn movie.
Wasn't this supposed to be like the "good ole days"?
Or at least that's what Ashton said to convince Luke to come.
Michael was on his phone, either texting some chick or writing and rewriting a message to Victoria that he would never send. Ashton was twirling his fingers around in Liza's hairs, who actually fell asleep on his chest. Sam and Calum...well they were heading towards second base.
"Get a room," Luke groused, throwing a pillow at Calum's head.
"You could see your boner from a mile away, Calum."
Sam flushed up as she threw her hair into a bun.
"Maybe we should get something to eat," she said, turning away from Calum. "I have the number for the chinese guy on my phone."
"Why would you call Calum? He's right next to you," Michael smirked, finally putting his phone away.
"Fucking racist," Calum mumbled, turning his head to face the t.v.
"What are you even watching Luke?"
"I'm no-"
"I think it's The Vow," Ashton giggled, cutting Luke off.
"I wasn-"
I wasn't watching it is what Luke wanted to say but by the time he got to the third syllable he realized that nobody cared. Everyone was feeding their order to Sam, who was on the phone with the Chinese restaurant.
"Luke you want anything?" Sam asked.
"No," he said quietly, shaking his head, "i-i'm gonna go get some water".
Getting up from the floor Luke slowly headed up the wooden steps to the kitchen. He grabbed a small glass cup off the top shelf and filled it with the ice and water.
He leaned his back against the table just kind of staring at the water and ice.
Two things that were completely different were still the same.
Honestly, it amazed Luke. All the small things always made him wonder as to how it happened? How did this idea come to be? As a kid Luke was always amazed in how things were created and he wanted to do that too.
One day.
But he couldn't.
Or at least he thought he couldn't. Every time he tried to do something memorable he always screwed it up then gave up so he could try to savor the rest of his dignity.
Finally, after staring at a cup of water for a minute Luke took a sip and placed it down on the table. He heard a loud crash and water splash against his leg. Looking down, he realized that the glass dropped to the floor, shards of glass everywhere.
"Luke? is everything okay?" He heard a muffled voice ask.
Suddenly everything felt as if it was closing in on him. His ears began ringing and his eyes watering up.
But he didn't move. He stared down at the broken glass.
In that very moment Luke felt useless. He couldn't even get a cup of water without fucking it up. He fell down to the floor picking up the bottom half of the glass and throwing it at the cabinet, letting the pieces shatter to the floor.
