I approached the building slowly. I heard girls talking. Following the sound, I went around the side of the building. There I found a pair of double doors wide open and a few people flowed through them into the building. Mum had dropped me off at the wrong entrance. Told you she wasn't good with maps. I went through the doorway and into a massive hall. An image of a school badge, it was made up of a sword, a gun, a bow and arrow and what looked like a wooden stick with a pointy end. Windows raced up the wall and paints hung drear fully on the walls. Some of the paintings seemed a bit creepy...But didn't look at them for long because a massive voice boomed across the hall

"Please sit down" said the mysterious voice. The room fell silent. Everyone did exactly what the voice said.

"Welcome to St Van Helsing's, I am Mr Grim the headmaster. I would like to personal say that I am so happy about you all attending this school and I hope to see the best from you-" He started. I stopped listening; I was too busy examining his face. It was stained with wrinkles and stress lines. He had a white comb over which covered his bald patches. He was wearing a tweed suit and a bow tie "-Now if you go to the back of the hall. You can hand in your forms at the back. There will also be the sheets with your assigned rooms."He finished.

Suddenly, there was a mad rush. Everyone wanted to know what room there are in so they could tell their 'group'. That's something else I noticed, everyone seemed to be in groups, (they probably came from the same schools) everyone except me that is. I had no one I knew.

I went up to the sheets. They were at the back. I handed in my forms and then turned towards the sheets. They were blue tacked to the back wall. I was in room B13. I took the stairs to the second floor and found room B13. I stared at the door. It had 5 locks too like the gate. Was 5 their lucky number? I opened the door, 2 girls were standing there. They stare at me.

"You'll have to take the bottom bunk, Chantelle has already claimed It." the girl said smiling sweetly as she pointed to a girl on the top bunk. She had brown hair in a bob and green eyes. She was wearing a white blouse, blue jeans, white flats and a pink cardigan.

"I'm Bella," she said as she unzipped her case. She was on the top bunk. Bella had blonde hair put up into a neat ponytail and brown eyes that sparkled. She was wearing a red sports jacket, black leggings and red canvas trainers.

"I'm Chantelle and well Midnight isn't here. I think she went to see if they cleaned the toilets from last time." Said the girl with the brown bob.

At that exact minute another girl walked through the door. She had sleek curly black hair that came down to her waist; her eyes were a bright blue. She was wearing a leather jacket, biker boots, black leggings and a skull top. She looked kind of intimidating.

"Who's this?" the girl said.

"This is......" Bella said her voice dragged a bit as she realised she didn't know my name "What's your name?"

They all looked at me.

"I am Sarah, Sarah Stonebridge" said shaking slightly.

"Nice to meet you Sarah, I'm Midnight" she said slightly smiling. Her smile made me uneasy and on edge. I started shaking violently. I don't even know why I feel uneasy; I've never had any trouble when meeting new people.

"It's nice to meet you too" I replied trying to be polite.

"Have you checked the bathrooms what are they like?" said Chantelle obviously trying to change the subject, probably because she saw I was shaking.

"They are spotless." Midnight replied.

We got to know each other quite well over the week. Soon Sunday was here the day before classes' start, the time tables came that day. I looked at it and was very confused. I didn't know what some of the classes were. I saw that all the subjects I had chosen for options were on there, but there were extra ones like: Equipment, Battle and M Biology.

"What's wrong Sarah?" Chantelle said looking slightly worried.

"I don't know what some of these subjects are, I mean what's Equipment?" I said.

"It's when you learn about equipment used against monsters and how to use it." Bella replied.

"Monsters, you are joking right. Monsters don't exist." I muttered.

"Well, if monsters don't exist what's the point?" Midnight replies.

"What do mean?" I asked.

"This is a school that specialises in monster hunting." Bella explained.

"I'm being pranked right?" I said straight after.

"Didn't you read the leaflet inside the envelope" Chantelle asked.

"What leaflet?" I said.

"That's why you don't know." Chantelle sighed in relief.

"There was a leaflet that talks about what the school is about and the subjects you would be studying." Bella added.

"What do you have first on Monday?" Midnight asked.

"I have P.E." I said.

"Good luck" Midnight said slyly and then left the room.

What did she mean 'Good Luck'? It was only P.E. I did P.E. at my other school all the time. What could so different about it at this school's P.E.?
