Chapter 11

"I never thought I would be saved by Adam. I am ashamed." Amy shuck her head in shame.

"It could have been worse." I said trying to be positive.

"It could also have been better." Midnight said bluntly.

"Don't be so negative, at least we know who has the teachers." Adam said trying to lighten the mood

"Yes, and they want us next."

"But we defeated them."

"And they will be back."

Adam stopped talking because he knew she was right. They would come back and we have hardly any defence against them.

"I have a new plan. We need to train the younger students. While you do have I'll try to track down the vampires' base," Midnight said.

"Nice plan but how are you going to track down the vampires," Amy questioned. Did she just compliment Midnight?

"Sonar vision," Midnight answered and she walks away.

Later, I go to Midnight to the security room. I walk through the door she was typing in lots of codes. She looked at me briefly then went back to typing.

"Hi." she said.

"Hi I brought you some food. You weren't at dinner earlier so I thought I'd bring you some food. Plus I thought you needed some company."

"Thanks." She said as she turned around in her chair.

"Are you ok?" I asked.

"Fine. Why?"

"You seem kind of negative today."

"There's something strange about Adam and it's driving me crazy."

"You should ask Amy about it. She might know. In fact she might have held it against him to make her go to the dance with her."

"That's a great idea. When did you get so smart?"

She gets up.

"You are coming?"She asked.

"But what about finding the base?" I asked back.

"It's scanning now and won't be ready for a few hours. I've got time." We start to walk towards the dormitories. We found her after hearing her shouting at a year 7.

"Amy, how did you force Adam to go to the dance with you?" Midnight asked.

"Well I wouldn't say I forced him." Amy said.

"How did you do it? What did you hold against him?"

"I said I would show the headmaster this video."

She pulled out a pure white memory stick

"It's in folder 4. Don't look at anything else."

"Wouldn't dream of it."

Midnight took the memory stick and we headed back to the security room. Midnight plugged in the memory stick and clicked on the file. The video was him caught on camera in the middle of the night going towards the infirmary. Why did he care so much about such a small thing?

"Is that it?" Midnight questioned.

"Why did try to keep such I small secret from everyone?" I asked.

"I don't know but there's no time to work it out." Midnight stated. She started to eat the meal I brought to her. It was an Indian korma.

The next afternoon, we had a meeting in the hall.

"How's the training coming along?" Midnight asked.

"Really badly, I think we are going to need some help from Amy." Chantelle confessed.

"Of course I'll help I love shouting and scaring kids." Amy said happily. Her tone of really didn't suit what she was said.

"What about finding the base?" Bella added.

"I've found it. It's on the other side of the forest, 4 miles away." Midnight answered.

"No it isn't that's a decoy set up by them, the real camp is just half an hour in the other direction. The sonar didn't pick it up because there is a special material, that surrounds the base, can absorb the sound waves." Adam corrected.

Everyone stares at him.

Then Midnight asked "How do you know that, Adam?"
