The next day, I woke up early again and got changed in a bathroom cubicle; it was the place I knew of without cameras. I put on a pair of jeans and a old top and then headed to the hall to investigate how they managed to get in and leave the note. I shoved open the heavy doors of the hall and slowly observed the windows and doors. How could they have got in? Then as my eyes came to the centre of the room, there was table and on the table another note. This one said:

He is the one who sneaks out at night to drink. He is one of you. He is the one you least expect.

It was a clue. A clue to help us find the vampire. Why are they trying to help us? So after I thought about this and just like yesterday I ran back to dorms. Eventually after what seemed like hours of Dan and Bella, we finally decided that we should show Chantelle and Amy not like they haven’t already seen it. Adam and I headed up to the security room, leaving Dan and Bella to fight by themselves. I look at him. He’s even paler than usual.

“Are you ok? You look pale.” I said but then I realised the irony of what I had just said.

“Paler than usual.”I corrected myself.

“I haven’t been able to eat with them watching twenty-four-seven.” Adam replied. I just stared. How could he say that out loud with them watching!

“Don’t worry they can’t hear anything we are saying. As long as we keep walking they’ll think we’re just making small talk.” He said.

“So how do you plan to eat? You can’t keep going on like this.”I replied.

“Well hopeful it will be over soon.” He answered.

We arrived at the door to the security room. It opened before I could reach for the handle.

“Show us the note.” Amy demanded. I held it up and she immediately snatched it out of my hand. She scanned it before handing it to Chantelle.

“Thanks for bringing this to us.” Chantelle said before we were ushered out of the door by Amy.

“Adam, feel free to come up later.” Amy said before slamming the door.

Hours later, a meeting was called in the security room.

“We found the vampire, he was in year 9, but don’t worry we’ve staked him and now the crisis is over.” Chantelle said.

“So now you all can stop acting so weird.” Amy said.

“O thank God.” Midnight said. That was the important part of the meeting, the rest was quite boring. I wasn’t even listening to most of it. After an hour of daydreaming, I finally got to go back to the dorm. It was finally over. I wouldn’t have to worry about the pressure of blurting out about Adam. Now I can finally get some sleep. It’s been forever since I had some proper sleep. I quickly changed into my pyjamas and collapsed onto my bed. As soon as my head hit the pillow, I was out. Sleep was the one thing I definitely needed. However like every good thing, it has to end.  It’s too bad that the way I woke up from my sympathy of sleep, was been shaken like a ragdoll. I looked to the window, the curtains were still drawn and there was no light coming through them. I look to the clock on the wall. It was 1’o’clock in the morning! I look at the person who has grabbed me back to reality. It was Chantelle. She shoke me viciously.

“Get up.” She whispered angrily.

“What’s wrong?” I asked sleepily.

“Just get dressed and wait outside the door.” She commanded in a hushed tone. I quickly pulled on a hoodie and the same jeans I had on yesterday. I yanked the hood up on my tangled hair and walked out of the door. Minutes later Bella came out with Chantelle.

“Chantelle why are we up at 1’o’clock in the morning?” I snapped.

“No time for questions. I’ll explain everything soon.” She answered before making her way down the corridor. Bella and I just followed her like lost sheep. We climb up the ever going stairs and out a fire door. We arrive on the roof. The wind whistled and bashed against my head, blowing hair in my face and trying to pull my hood down. All the year 10s where here, standing in a cluster, penguins huddling together trying to keep heat. I saw every one’s faces, except two: Midnight and Adam. I looked harder, I was right. They aren’t here.

“I know you’re all wondering why we’re out here, but I’m here to tell you. I lied to you. We haven’t found the vampire, but did this for a reason, so that I could catch him in the act. And now I have an idea of who it is.” Chantelle explained. Everyone’s eyes were wide and jaws dropped.

“Who is it then?” I heard a voice call from behind. It was Amy. Wasn’t she with Chantelle? How could she not know anything about this?

“I’m not telling you because I’m not completely sure.” Chantelle replied.

“Where’s Midnight and Adam?” I butted in. Everyone turned around looking for them.

“Yeh, where are Midnight and Adam?” Bella asked.
