Chapter 14 -- Tahoe

After watching the sunrise, we returned to bed and slept for about an hour or so. When we finally woke up, we ordered room service and had breakfast.

"How do you know I'm having a boy? The doctor didn't say anything about revealing what the sex is." I said as I came to a good stopping point in my breakfast of scrambled eggs and fruit.

"I just know. There's just certain things that I'm good at. Besides when we were at your doctor's the last time, I saw something on the monitor that just stood out to me. Again, I just know." He stated as he ate his breakfast of scrambled eggs and pancakes. I just stared at him in awe and wondered how he can decipher what he's seen on the baby monitor.

"I may not be an expert on those things but something just stood out to me the last time that I didn't see the other times when we were at your doctor's." He said as he fiddled around with his spoon and then drank some coffee. A few minutes later he looked up at me and did that sexy eye move on me where he kind of squints and then his eyes almost smile. I feel like he's found something now that gives him a purpose in life. He's no longer wondering around aimlessly. We shared a deep bond during the sunrise and feels extremely happy being with me. I felt the same way with him. He was looking at me in wonder. I felt I had to say something.

"Uh... do you still want to leave after lunch?" I asked as I drank some cranberry juice.

"Yes, I do! As much as I want to stay here with you, we need to keep moving and experience Lake Tahoe until it's time for us to go home." He said and smiled at me.

"Well, next on our list is Crystal Bay. I think it will be about a thirty minute drive from here. Do you want to drive or shall I?" I asked him.

"If that's a short drive, I think I want to take the challenge!" He said as he finished breakfast.

"Great! After we get dressed for the day, we can pack our things and put them in the truck so we're ready when we leave." I eagerly said. James laughed some.

"If it's a half hour drive, we can do something else here. We still have time! It's only ten o'clock!" He said.

"Oh, yes! I forgot. After getting up really early to see the wonderful sunrise, my sense of time is off. We can check out early and see more of Tahoe City, what do you think?" I said to him. I toned down my eagerness so he doesn't think I'm pumped to leave. I tend to get that way when I wake up extremely early.

"We can do that. Tahoe City seems to be our city! A good place to unwind and get in touch with each other. I could continue on!" James said.

"Yes, it does. Why don't we make this our next area to take a vacation or a second honeymoon? This does kind of remind us of our honeymoon in Hawaii. The secluded beach right outside from our hotel room in Kauai and the catered service we got and treated well." I reflected.

"It sure does! As I recall we ended up staying in the room a lot and some time spent on the beach when we weren't so much into each other!" He chuckled as he remembered our honeymoon in Hawaii.

"We can stay here for the next time!" I said. We both agreed this is the place for us.

"How about a bigger suite if it's just the two of us?" He said boastfully.

"Sounds good to me!" I giggled remembering our honeymoon in Hawaii on the island of Kauai. After that, we recreated our honeymoon in our room before leaving. We had a very sexy time in Tahoe City until about an hour before we left. We ended up checking out around noon and headed for downtown Tahoe City. We grabbed lunch while walking around town and did some window shopping, very much unlike us. We were really looking at the window postings for houses. Some shops posted flyers with houses for sale. We found a few we liked and they did list a website. James took pictures of some flyers so we can check them out online. After spending more than two hours in town, we headed for the truck. James had enough of looking around. He wanted to get on the road. Soon we're on the main road to Crystal Bay and driving through some housing areas toward Crystal Bay. We pointed out some areas we liked and saw some waterfront properties.
