After we were done watching the Jimmy Fallon show and heard Chris Isaak sing his famous song Wicked Game, we decided to try Lady with Grant again. Only this time in the living room. We got on the floor and wanted to see what Lady would do this time. At this stage of their second meeting, Lady was getting somewhat familiar with Grant and sniffed him again, this time doing it with his hair. Her nose kind of touched the hair and smelled his hair. She wanted to get his full body smell. James told me that dogs do that with other dogs they meet when they're getting to know one another. After Lady did her territorial smelling of Grant, she then gently poked him in the stomach like she wanted her ball being tossed. Grant did his scrunchy face reflex and then touched Lady.

"Looks like she wants to play now!" James said as he observed the two.

"You'll have to take her out in a little while. sometime before dinner." I said and looked at the living room clock.

"Oh, yeah! Our dinner!" He said and smiled at Grant while tickling him on his stomach. His cute face kind of formed into a smile and then went away.

"When do babies laugh? And smile?" James asked as he looked at Grant.

"Uh... they usually start laughing at four months and smile on their own at two months." I said, remembering what I read about that with newborn babies.

"Well, he looks like he's going to be one smiley baby when he starts smiling!" James said as he smiled at Grant. "He's going to be a major flirt with the girls when he's a teenager!" James joked.

"I believe you! You have one sexy smile. I'm sure Grant will get that from you!" I said. The two of us played with Grant for a while as Lady looked on with interest. She kind of had that piqued interest with Grant and wondered what we were doing with the baby.

"Well, it's about four. I'll take Lady outside for a while and you can play with Grant. I think Lady needs some attention too." James said as he stood up. He did his hand command for Lady to heel and they went outside to get her exercise. I stayed in the living room and showed Grant around. I also walked around the first floor and showed him every room. We ended up in the kitchen. He looked around and pointed at certain things. A little too early for that but Grant was pointing at the shiny refrigerator and the many windows of the kitchen. We looked out one window and saw James tossing a baseball at Lady and then her playing catch. They did that for a good while.

"What do you want? Are you hungry or ready for a nap?" I asked as I sat down at the kitchen table. He just looked at me with those baby blue eyes.

"I think it's time for another feeding, if I'm right." I said as I looked at him. He did his trademark scrunchy look and I ended up taking him upstairs for another feeding. Once in his bedroom, we did another breast feeding. As I recalled from being at the hospital, we did a breast-feeding tutorial at this time of the day, around dinner time or early dinner according to the nurses. I want to change it to our dinner time so that Grant gets more used to our schedule. They told me to breast feed him for about a month and then gradually get him to use baby bottles. The two of us completed his feeding time with no fuss. After cleaning him up and myself, we went downstairs to see what James was doing. He was about to prepare for dinner. I set the baby carrier down on the kitchen table and then placed Grant in the carrier.

"So nice to see you back! Were you feeding him upstairs?" He asked as he turned around, seeing us sit at the kitchen table.

"Yes, we were." I said as I fiddled around with the t-shirt.

"You know you can do that down here. I'd like to see you do that at least once or twice." He said as he got the ingredients out on the counter for our Italian dinner.
