I wake up in the hotel room without Felix being in the bed. I look around the room and I see him bottle-feeding Jasper on one of the chairs.
"We don't leave for a couple of hours so do you want to go get breakfast? It can be a tiny date. Just the two of us and Jasper."
I nod and get changed into some shorts and a t-shirt. Felix finishes feeding Jasper and changes his diaper, putting him into a white shirt and denim overalls.
We leave our room and go to the top floor, where the restaurant is. We are escorted to a two-person table and the waiter places a high chair at the table for us. Felix places Jasper into the high chair and then sits down. We look over the breakfast menu and I decide to just have some bacon and eggs as we would probably have a lot for lunch.
Felix decides on some pancakes that come with ice cream and some strawberries.
We call the waiter over and they take our order.
After a little while, the food comes out and it looks really good. next thing I know, Jasper steals a strawberry from Felix's plate and tries to put it in his mouth. Felix grabs his hand and puts the fruit back on his plate. We both move our plates so Jasper isn't able to reach anything and we start eating.
"You know, seeing he just did that, I think we should start introducing him to some baby food," I suggest to Felix.
"Hm, I think that's actually a really good idea. He's suddenly developing at such a fast pace. Like he pulled Haneul's hair yesterday and he's now stealing our food. We'll have to tell the others to be careful from now on."
I nod and take another bite of my bacon. "We can go get some baby food after breakfast then, I'm pretty sure there's a Coles around the corner."

We finish breakfast and thank the waiter. We make our way to Coles and walk to aisle 14 where the baby food is. I look at all the flavours and brands of baby food, getting a little overwhelmed, but we decide on a few different things. I pick up baby cereal oats, then a pack of pear and peach puree, an apple and strawberry custard and finally a beef with vegetables and rice puree thing. We can always come back if he likes any of them. We grab some baby spoons from the same aisle and head to the checkouts.
We pay and leave the grocery store, quickly returning to the hotel. Haneul and Jiwoo will be picking us up in about 20 minutes so we get back to the room and start packing everything in the bag, including all the baby food except for the oats. I put the spoons in the front pocket of the bag. By the time this is finished, Jiwoo and Haneul are a minute away, so we grab the bag and walk down to the car. Jasper is happily making his 'ba' sounds while we sit in the car and CHan's parents are driving us to the park.
We arrive at the park and see that there are a lot of families there, there are teenagers, toddlers, babies around the same age as Jasper, elders, and adults. Everyone you can possibly imagine. It is a nice day out so it should be expected to be busy. We find a park and get out of the car. Felix gets the pram out of the boot and I place Jasper in. Felix gets the blanket and other things out to help Haneul and Jiwoo.
"Thank you so much, Felix," Haneul thanks him.
"It's no problem, ma'am," Felix responds.
I find a free spot and they set up the picnic. We finish setting up by the time the rest of the members arrive.
We all sit down on either the chairs or on the blanket and Jiwoo opens the picnic basket that has homemade sandwiches, cookies, fruit and more. I gawk at all the food.
"Oh yeah, also we have to be super careful now because someone now knows how to steal food," I mention.
"Felix?" Jisung questions.
I burst out laughing while Felix threatens to hit him.
"No, Jasper, you toad. Okay, but seriously be careful. He could take something without us looking and choke on it." Felix explains. Everyone nods their head in understanding, still laughing a little.
I look at Jasper in the pram and decide to take him out. I sit him down on the blanket and he looks around. He continues making his noises as he looks at all the other people.
I grab a piece of watermelon and take a bite of it. It's refreshing for the hot day that it is.
Lunch comes around and we order some uber eats to get delivered to us. Just some Chinese food. Jiwoo gets up to collect the food and I get up and grab the blanket as I have to give Jasper a bit of breast milk before he has any baby food. I place him under the blanket and start feeding him.
After about five minutes of breastfeeding him, I realise I forgot to actually grab the baby food.
"Felix, I forgot to get the spoons and baby food. Could you please get them out for me?" I ask.
"Of course, baby." He chuckles at my forgetfulness.
He grabs them and puts them next to me. I take Jasper off my nipple and place him on my lap, readjusting my top.
"Wait, I can't see his face if I do it myself, I'd put a spoon in his eye." I blurt out.
"Just put him on my lap, I wanna see his reaction though so take a video for me," Felix mentions.
I place Jasper on Felix's lap and I open the pear and peach puree pouch. Phones are starting to come out and I also take mine out. I start recording and I place some of the puree on a spoon and feed it to him, getting the food that he doesn't get in his mouth on the spoon.
"Let him think about it," Haneul says.
Then he smiles brightly, clearly enjoying his first try of baby food.
