I looked at the note again not being about to take it. It felt like my heart was going to explode. Even though the note said he’d be out of state for a couple days; that was a couple days without him in my presence. I pouted and sulked into the kitchen and opened the fridge so I could get started on dinner. While I was waiting for the water to boil for my pasta I couldn’t help but look over the note again.
Baby,
I had to leave for a couple days on business. I didn’t want to ruin your time with Rina so I decided to just leave a note and we can FaceTime tonight. One of my clients are out of state and I’m just going to meet with them to get to know what they want in a house. I promise it won’t take more than three days but I’m gonna miss you so much.
Will
When I first read the note I wanted to cry a little because he and I have never been separated for that long. The only plus side of it all is that I will be able to see and hear him before I go to sleep tonight. I bit into my bottom lip before starting on the sauce that’ll go along with my farfalle pasta.
Halfway through my meal Will’s face popped up on my phone which was laying on the table beside my plate. I quickly replied to his offer to FaceTime and soon his call came through. I looked at myself making sure I had nothing on my face before accepting the FaceTime call. The big tooth smile that was on my face couldn’t hide how happy I was to finally see him.
He was in a bed with hotel-like wallpaper in the background. The tingling feeling that shot through my body by just having a little glance at his toned chest. Once he smiled I felt like I was going to explode in my skinny jeans. Rina was right; I needed to get this out of my system.
“You just now eating dinner? It’s about one over there ain’t it?” He asked skipping a greeting entirely. His eyebrows were furrowed a little so I knew he was either worried or angry.
“Just got back a little while ago and I have class in the morning.” Today was the last day of our Spring Break and I wasn’t looking forward to going back to class tomorrow; especially not since my class starts at 9:30. “Where are you? I didn’t just expect a note you know.” I took the last bite of my pasta and walked towards the sink.
“Sorry baby, I don’t think I would’ve left if I talked to face to face.” I washed my plate as we continued talking about each other’s day and how the dress shopping went. Most of the time we were talking I was focused on his chest not even realized some of the things he was saying to me. “So what do you think?”
“Huh?” I asked while tearing my eyes away from his chest and abdomen.
