Derick's POV

I finished all my duties earlier than expected, I don't like the idea of Avery being alone with that fucking Gama, he has feelings for her, I know I can see it. Sebastian and I were on our way to the lake where they said they'll be.

"Why are you so jealous of him?", Sebastian asked smirking.

"It easy for you to be in peace, he is not interested in Sky, but Avery, have you seen how he looks at her?", I asked because I cannot believe I'm imagining things.

"He is not, I think you are just too jealous and are imagining things", Sebastian laughed again.

"Ok, if I'm overreacting let me ask you, would you let Sky be with him if she wouldn't be marked yet?", I know I touch a sensitive spot for any wolf but that was my intention exactly.

"No I wouldn't", he honestly agreed.

"Now you see my point", I replied and he nodded.

"She loves you too, don't think she doesn't, I saw the pain in her eyes when we found Sabrina on your bed", he sounded mad still for what happened

"I explained to you that already", I replied

"Yes, yes, but she doesn't know that yet", he reminded me.

We're almost at the lake and her scent is driving me crazy already.

We arrived at the cliff and the view made me go out of myself, Eros took over.

She was hugging him and he kissed her on the lips, I didn't stop to reason it, I just acted and charged against him, but he was too close to her, he fell to the right and she rolled to the edge of the cliff and I realized the stupid thing I did, she fell from the cliff and I move fast to grab her hand and stop her from falling, my anger got for a moment overshadowed by my fear of losing her, "give me your other hand", I ordered her and miraculously she obeys me, I pulled her up and as soon as she was out of danger my anger returned and let her go.

I was about to attack Jose again when she pushed me and walked towards him, slapping his face and furiously in her voice ordered him to leave, that alpha voice again.

"Yes, Luna", Jose replied and was turning to leave, but that simple slap is not enough to calm my rage so I stopped him because I want to kill him, "I didn't say you could go, right?"

"If you kill him, is against the laws," Avery rambled, "he is a guest."

"What if I don't care?", I retored her, how she dares to defend him after what they did.

"I need you to control yourself, don't let your wolf take control", she tried to calm me, trying to sound confident and as stubborn as she is, she stepped in between me and him.

"Get out of my way, I will kill him, nobody touches what's mine", I  growled

"If you do, you will start an unnecessary war, he is the Gama of another pack, a pack with which you have a pact and a friendship, keep the pact! He was invited here", she tried to remind me but I was too furious to care.

"You are very worried about your lover's life, aren't you?", I claimed her feeling my anger increase for the possible answer.

"First he is not my lover", she yelled and I felt kind of good she made it clear, even though denial is normal, "I'm trying to stop an unnecessary war over his stupidity...", She pointed to the punk, "...and your pride", she pointed me, 'really Avery?', "I will not allow that people on this pack or in my old pack, kill each other just..".
