I felt the sparkles floating on my neck while Derick kissed me, "stop", I warned but he continued, "you promised, so, if you don't stop I will kick you out, not only from my bed but my room", I warned and he laughed.

"You can't blame me for trying", he laughed.

"Asshole", I replied.

"You have to promise me, you'll not going to put yourself at unnecessary risk", he blurted and kissed the back of my head.

"I'm not a child, Derick. And I will never do something unnecessary", I replied offended.

"Yes, you do it all the time, as a matter of fact, so please promise me", he retored.

"I promise", I agreed and let myself drift to sleep.

We woke up early, my dad gave me final recommendations and we share our goodbye.

"Remember your promise", Derick whispered and hugged me.

"Stay safe", I hugged back and returned his hug.

"May I kiss you?", He asked and I hesitate but I tiptoe to kiss him.

"See you soon", I replied and he pecked my lips and smiled

"See you soon my love", he shouted while and I got in my car that will take me where my guard is and from there 1day and a half will it will be on horseback.

My caravan marched towards Noah's kingdom, is a three days trip, in three days I will see him after all this time.

Noah's POV

"What do you mean dead?", I asked Paul, my prime minister.

"They got in Adler's lands and were ambush, Adler's wolves were waiting for them, they said queen Lorene begged for mercy and was slaughtered, king  Hamilton is devastated and request to start the battle sooner", he told me.

"I understand, I would ask for the same, what Marcus said?", I asked.

"He is already going to Hamilton's lands and princess Franco is coming over here", Paul told me taking me by surprise.

"When she will be here?", I asked trying not to sound excited

"3 days, she's traveling right with 10 of their alphas and a small army to help you", he replied.

"I thought were 15 alphas coming?", I inquired

"King Franco decided that 10 alphas were enough to accompany her", he replied

"Please arrange everything to accommodate them", I requested and he left.

"The princess is coming, how that make you feel, bro?", Nathan my brother asked, he is three years younger but has a family already and has become a pain in my ass since I told him about Avery.

"Nothing, I let her go. And if she is coming is because of her father's orders, she must be already happy with asshole alpha", I replied.

"would you have abdicated the crown if she had chosen you?", Nathan asked.

"Yes, yes I would, but that doesn't matter anymore she made a decision, and we need to focus, we have a war ahead of us", I told him trying o change the talk and he nodded.

"Let me tell you something my brother, she didn't make a choice, you did it for her and if you love her and she loves you back, fight!", Nathan advised and left.
