I know I shouldn't have, but when I saw her storm to the garden I couldn't help it.

"damn you!", she cursed me with tears in her eyes already.

"In deep I'm a damn man", I agreed with her and she turned to see me, "since the day I lost you, I know I'm damn and the worse part is that I'm clear I deserve it... You were right when you declared to your mom you'll make my life a living hell, you did, my life is a living hell, a slow agony since you're not in it".

"I don't remember giving you the permission to talk to me, alpha Bennett", she spoke with arrogance, as she has never done before.

"Avery please give me the chance to...", I was saying when she raised her hand to shut me.

"As I said I don't recall give you the permission to talk to me, and when you do, you will refer to me as your Royal Highness or princess Franco, is it clear alpha Bennett", she commanded and her words have the total intention to make me see we are not equals, and she is right we are not, I don't deserve her, but this is not her, this arrogant person talking is not her, this is a mask.

"He really has some balls to come after me", I internally groaned, while Maya is whimpering.

"You're ok?", My dad asked and I nodded, we went up to the podium on the stage.

"Good evening everybody, I beyond grateful for your presence another year in this annual reunion to keep our kingdoms peace, friendship, and good functionality, this year is especially important, for the first time Prince Parker Hamilton heir of the Sand Throne is joining us", cheers erupted from the crowd, "as well Prince Dominic Adler, who's taking his role as King of The Moonstone soon, will take care of the negotiation for his kingdom this year", my dad paused and loud run of applause and howls sounded again, "and for the first time, The Ironsoul throne heiress, my daughter Avery Franco is at home", he announced and a louder sound of howls and cheers sounded, "with a big honor I name you my heiress, do you swear from this point forward to seek for the well-being of your people, to guide them with courage yet sensitivity, to make our kingdom grow not only productively but in pride?", He asked me

"I swear it", I vowed and started my oath, "that as a leader I will follow the code of the wolf, by protecting the pack that is my kingdom and I will not show fear in doing so, that I will respect the laws and wisdom of the elders, as well I'll pass it on to the younger generations, that I will compassionately lead my people by putting their well-being ahead, that I will survive the challenges of the new environment, howl at the new moon without showing weakness, that I will never back down in the struggle and always leave the mark of my people's power", I finished.

My dad placed the tiara on my head and then he kissed my forehead, his gaze was full of pride and love, then he made a small cut on his hand and then on mine, we put our hands together and it was like been hit by an electric shock, connection to each alpha of our kingdom and therefore to all the packs was immediate, and with the overwhelming creation of the bond, I felt the increase of my strength and my senses, I can't describe the level of power and responsibility I felt was transmitted to me, I felt dizzy.
