"Jamie can't come today." Luke said the next day.

"Why not?"

"I don't know... maybe because Jamie's older and a lot busier than us?" He says.

"How 'old' are we talking about here?" I had to ask.

"Like college old."

Whoa... how the heck did Luke manage to get himself a college chick?

"Anyway, forget about Jamie and let's talk about 'us'." He changed the subject.

"Huh?"

"I mean, what 'label' do you have for me?" He asked.

"My roommate? But the type who doesn't really pay rent..."

"Besides that."

I was going to say that he's like a younger brother to me but then the memory of us sleeping together flashed into my brain for like a millisecond which stopped me from saying it out loud.

"Uh..." I began.

"Do you like me, Cher?" His straightforwardness caught me off. guard.

"Why are you asking that all of a sudden?"

"Because Jamie said that maybe you're just playing around with me... I mean, I'm fine with it but what about in the future? Our future."

"Oh just be with Jamie already! I'm pretty sure you guys have a future together." I said sarcastically.

"Wait, are you jealous?" His serious expression suddenly changed into a teasing one.

"Why would I be? You can flirt around if you want and I couldn't care less about it."

"Huh?" He tilted his head to the side.

*AT SCHOOL*

Luke is driving me mad with his mind games!

All I could think about while I sat in class is this Jamie chick that he's oh so proud of...

I don't even know why I'm so anxious to meet her. Ugh. This sucks.

"What are you thinking about, Cher?" Zayn redirected my attention to him.

"Have you been staring at me the whole time while I was lost in my thoughts?" I asked.

"Duh. You're the only one that I ever look at. Heck, I don't even look at the teacher..." He smirked.

This made me blush for no reason and so I had to look away.

"Teacher, Cher and Zayn are busy flirting in class again!" I heard Louis complain in front.

How the hell can he even hear us back here?! But then again he's not really the type to mind his own business...

"I guess I'm not the only one who has my eyes set out for you..." Zayn glared at Louis and Niall who were looking right back at me.

*DISMISSAL TIME*

"Where do you think you're going, missy?" Louis called after me.

"Home... or anywhere else as long as it's far away from you." I answered truthfully.

"You skipped a lot of our tutoring sessions lately. Do you know how many days I've been waiting for you to show up at the library every after school?!" He blabbed.

"You really think that I would still let you tutor me after I got a zero? No, thank you." I said sarcastically.

"Well, technically, you deserved it." He said with a smile.

"Goodbye, Tomlinson." I didn't want to waste any more of my time arguing back with him. It's pointless anyway.

"Wait, that's not really what I wanted to tell you. I actually wanted to apologize for being such a... jerk." I heard him say from behind which made me turn around.

"Oh, and it's Niall's idea to apologize. Totally not mine because I don't really like apologizing to people." He added.

"That makes sense." I shrugged.

"So what do you say? Are we good or what?" He asked impatiently.

Well, I can't just forget my revenge plan just because he was forced to apologize to me... but then again it would be a lot easier if I keep the enemy closer so I'll just make him think that we're 'good' for now.

And I'll attack later or stab him on the back or something. Not literally though.

"Yeah. We're good." I smiled.

Then he leaves after that too quickly like he can't stand me at all just like how much I can't stand him back.

"Hey, Cher! There you are..." Luke approached me with a blonde friend of his.

"Hey. Who's this?" I made eye contact with his guy friend whom I had never seen before.

"This is Jamie."

"What?! I mean, you never told me Jamie's a... guy." I smiled fakely at Luke.

"Well, it's pretty obvious. I mean, why would I even sleepover at Jamie's if he was a girl? I'm a pretty loyal guy you know." Luke stated.

So I was worried over nothing the whole time?!

"You can sleepover at his place for as long as you want." I chuckled.

"Nah, I miss sleeping beside you so I don't think there will be any more sleepovers." Luke placed an arm around my shoulders.

"But you just slept over at your friend's place for like three days..." That's not long enough to miss a person if you ask me.

"Three days is like three months or even three years for me and it's been too long since I stared at your sleeping face." He faked a cough.

"Man, I can see why Luke talks about you 24/7... you're like a goddess of beauty or something. I'm Jamie Bell by the way. It's nice to finally meet you, Cher." He shook my hand.

"Nice to meet you too. How did you guys meet anyway?" I got curious.

"Met at the groceries. True story." Luke said.

"This dude right here was having trouble with buying ingredients for whatever he was going to cook and being a very helpful citizen that I am, I helped him in picking the best quality of vegetables in the market." Jamie explained.

"He's taking up the 'chef' course in college." Luke said proudly.

"I see... but you said that he couldn't make it today because he has other plans?" I said.

"True but I really wanted to meet Luke's girlfriend in person so---"

"Oh we're not together." I corrected him.

"Really? Because from what it looks like, you guys are living together, sleeping in one bed, and Luke attempts to cook you dinner sometimes so... what exactly do you call that?" Jamie asked me.

"Roommates." I simply stated. I wanted to tell him that the only reason why we're sleeping in a single bed is because Luke refuses to sleep on the floor but nevermind.

"Yep, she's totally in denial... but she'll come around. Good luck, dude." Jamie whispered to Luke in a not so discreet way because I was still able to hear him.

I'm in denial of what exactly?

I'm guessing Luke and I are on the same page of being confused based from the look on his face.

I don't think he understood his friend either.

Well, that makes two of us...
