"Robbie, there's something I need to tell you..." I began right after we danced our waltz.

"What is it?" We were now slow dancing back again.

"Um, how are things with Travis?" I stalled.

"Everything's fine between us. The guy makes me want to settle down but I don't know if I should. What do you think?" He asked for my opinion.

"Whatever makes you happy. Listen, you're very good at modeling and at sports and even at singing---"

"You really think I have a shot at being a singer?" He interrupted me.

"Sorry for interrupting. Please do carry on with your praises." He realized what he just did.

"I'm saying that you're exactly my type..." I looked elsewhere.

"Except for the gay part, right? Wait, is this a confession?" He joked.

"No, I wouldn't say that. This is more like a good rid---"

"Cher, it's my turn to dance with you now." Luke cut off what I was about to say.

I was going to say 'this is more like a good riddance speech' meaning I'm breaking off our contract for personal reasons but then Luke showed up.

"Okay." I replaced my hands around Luke's neck and he places his hands around my waist, pulling me closer in a swift motion.

"You kids be good now." Rob patted Luke's shoulder before walking off to the refreshments table.

"You smell nice." I could smell the scent of his strong perfume all over the air around us.

"I borrowed one of Jack's perfumes. You look beautiful tonight." He complimented me.

"You look good yourself. I believe this is the first time that I saw you wearing a tux?" I examined his black and white tuxedo which made him look pretty mature and manly tonight.

"I'm telling you, I'm no kid. I can prove it right here on the dance floor if you want." He whispered seductively in my ear which made my eyes widen for a second.

"Hey, I never said that you are." I composed myself.

"Yeah, but it's written all over your pretty face." He says.

"Look, just because I moved out of your place doesn't mean I'm giving you up. I'd be a fool to just let you slip away..." He added.

"Whatever happened to our friendship deal anyway?" I asked.

"Oh we're still friends but I want to be more than that at the same time." He smiled like a kid, revealing his cute dimples.

"Now that's more I like it. Your smile takes the whole tension away in a second." I smiled back at him.

"And your smile makes my knees all wobbly..." Then he twirls me around and I bumped into Zayn's chest.

"I believe you promised me a dance?" He says.

"Yes sir, I did." He placed his hands around my waist while I placed mine around his neck.

"I saw Luke whisper some sweet nothings on your ear just now. What he'd say?" He pried.

"You are such a stalker. That's none of your business." I shook my head disapprovingly.

"Hey, if there's anything I am, I'd be your guardian angel who's looking after you at all times. And the hottest one at that." He smirked.

"I can look after myself."

"That's what you always say but I keep on doubting you anyway..." He sighed.

"Less talk, more dancing." I rested my head on his chest.

"Yes, ma'am." I heard him say as we swayed to the slow beat of the music.

I started wondering why I dumped him in the first place... he's the perfect boyfriend, I tell you but then again, maybe it's just me.

I can't afford to fall in love especially after what happened in my past... I'm just not deserving.

"Hey, have you seen Niall around?" Louis tapped my shoulder.

"No. Come to think of it, I promised him a dance but I still haven't seen him all night." I wondered out loud.

"Well, his car is in the parking lot but he's not here..." Louis tilted his head to the side.

"I'll help you look for him if you want." I offered.

"No, you should just continue dancing with this guy." Then he heads towards the exit of the gym.

"I need to go to the ladies'." I excused myself from Zayn.

******

I followed Louis outside the parking lot in secret but I lost track of him right away.

Now where could Niall possibly be? I bet he's in the field so I decided to look for him there.

"Boo." Someone whispered from behind me when I found myself under a tree.

"I thought I told you not to do that?" I quickly spun around and came face to face with Niall.

"Yeah, but it's fun to startle you." He grinned.

"Where the heck have you been all night?" I asked.

"Just around... now about that dance," He began.

"Sorry but I'm already tired."

"Then perhaps we can do something else? Like this..." He pushed me back against the tree then gave me a soft kiss.

"I don't think we should---"

"Shh. No talking." He cut me off by pressing his lips against mine more aggressively this time.

"Niall..." I pulled away from his kiss to look him in the eye but I couldn't recognize him anymore. Somehow, his eyes seemed... different.

He began kissing my neck which I really wasn't expecting for I have never seen this side of him before.

"Um, okay, I think you should stop. I'm not really in the mood for this." I pushed him away once again.

"But I am. So how about we play a game? I'm going to give you a headstart to run and then I'll hunt you down. And go!"

This made me run away real fast right across the vast field while removing my heels in the process.

"Baby, I'm preying on you tonight! Hunt you down, eat you alive!" I heard him howl after me.

Niall doesn't seem himself at all. I don't get it and now I'm starting to worry.

Once I reached the changing room, a hand came out of nowhere and covered my mouth.

"Don't you dare scream or he'll find us." It was Louis.

"I don't think the one who's chasing after me is Niall. It's kind of crazy but---"

"Not impossible. I get it now. You're his trigger..." Louis concluded.

"Trigger to what?"

"I mean, what kind of sorcery is this?!" He added.

"Okay, you watch too much 'Frozen', pal." I can't help but roll my eyes.

"You're right, I do watch too much 'Frozen'..." He came to a realization.

"Not the point here. Just answer the question already. I'm his trigger to what?"

"To his split personality." He said seriously.
