"Found it!" I exclaimed in victory as I sat back up on the chair beside Louis.
"Here..." I handed him his missing contact lenses.
"There's no way I'm putting that back into my eye. It's dirty." He stated as he stared blankly at me.
"Then what was the point of looking for it in the first place?!" I snapped.
"You just wanted to make things harder for me, didn't you?" I realized.
"Uh, yeah." He smiled stiffly.
"Well, Tomlinson, I don't think you're sane at all..." I stood up and quickly grabbed my things.
*LOUIS POV*
I fought the urge to chase after her.
I'm not one to explain my actions after all.
I knew that those three baboons were spying on us all along... waiting for something to happen I bet.
And so I gave them a show without them even knowing it.
Sometimes, I just can't control what goes on in this complex brain of mine.
Perhaps it's a side effect of being too smart?
All my actions have reasons behind them though.
I act based on what I think that would benefit me the most.
Like locking Zayn in the storage room right before the play for example, so that I could be the lead.
I am one ambitious creature, that I admit.
And playing the lead has nothing to do with Cher at all.
I repulse the girl so much and yet I feel strangely drawn to her...
Clearly, I have yet to decipher what this means.
*CHER'S POV*
"So there's this new guy at work... his name is Travis and I think I like him." Rob chatted as we drove home.
"But you just met him." For some reason, I'm not that thrilled at the idea of him meeting someone new unlike before.
"I don't know. It's like we have chemistry or something... on and off work I mean." He grinned.
"Well, as long as he's not a jerk like Ash." It's not like I have the right to stop him from seeing other guys.
"Why so glum?" He noticed the edginess in my voice.
"It's probably because of Tomlinson. He is such a handful..." I sighed.
"Want me to tutor you instead? I'm pretty good at Math you know." He offered.
"It's okay. I can take on Louis. And besides, if I admit defeat too early, it'll just boost his twisted ego meaning he'd win and I don't want that." I shook my head.
"Sorry if I couldn't hang out with you lately, I've been pretty booked with practice and some after school modelling here and there." He apologized.
"It's no big, really." Although I do miss his company at times...
*THE NEXT DAY*
"Hey, Cher." Zayn and Niall approached my desk when the bell rang for a break.
"What's up?" I asked my fellow classmates.
"We wanted to ask you something..." Niall shifted uncomfortably.
"Sure." I just waited for them to ask away.
"Um, how do I say this..." Zayn scratched the back of his head.
"About yesterday at the library---" Niall started.
"You guys were there? What were you doing in the library?" I inquired as I scoffed.
I mean, jocks don't really have time for books and as for Zayn, he's not the bookworm type either.
"We were um... looking for bedtime stories..."
"That we could tell Luke about. He's into fairytales." Zayn finished Niall's sentence like what creepy couples do.
And from what I'm hearing, it's like Luke's their son.
"And what has this got to do with me?" I arched a brow.
"Well, Niall and I saw you and Louis at a rather... inappropriate position." He confronted.
"And we just wanted to ask what you were doing on the floor? Just to be sure." Niall clarified.
"Oh. His contact lenses fell and he made me look for it."
"That is... great!" Zayn beamed.
What's so great about looking for contact lenses?
"I knew it!" Niall smiled with relief.
"No you didn't." Zayn argued.
"Wait, since when did you two hang out together?" I asked skeptically.
"Uh... you know, we eat at the same lunch table and..."
"Somehow, eating together creates an automatic bond." Zayn finished Niall's sentence once again.
That's just creepy.
*AT THE LIBRARY*
"You're practicing black magic, aren't you?" Louis accused.
"What?"
"Tell me where you're hiding your voodoo doll 'cuz I can't control myself!" He demanded.
"You're mad." I rolled my eyes.
"Well, there has to be an explanation to this!" He said out of frustration.
"To what, exactly?" I asked.
"I can't stop thinking about you."
My eyes widened out of his bluntness.
Oh boy.
"Maybe it's because you want to destroy me so much?" I thought out loud.
"Maybe." His tantalizing blue-gray eyes found its way to my lips.
"It's probably just your 'madness' talking..." I convinced the guy as I gulped down unconsciously.
"Or perhaps I'm infatuated by the thought of you? I did some research on my symptoms and the word 'infatuation' came up." He said reluctantly as his eyes returned to meet mine.
"I don't think I can gain something out of pursuing you though..." He added an after thought.
"However, I do find pleasure in making your life difficult." He smirked evilly.
"So that's it! You hate me. That's good." At least he doesn't have a crush on me or something.
That would be way too creepy.
