"So the plan is to tell everyone in school that you're actually bisexual which is just an experimental stage for you and being the 'cool' boyfriend that I am, I'm totally okay with it." Rob tells me his master plan in the soccer team's locker room.
Of course we had to make sure that it was empty first before he sneaked me in so that I could wait for him as he changes into some clean clothes before we go back to his place for dinner.
It's not that I'm getting free meals off of him or anything... his mom insisted on it.
Oh, and did I forget to tell you that he plays soccer and football like Niall? Yeah, such a sporty lad.
"But that only makes you look good."
"No, silly. It's like hitting two birds with one stone. People will not think of you as a cheat... and I'll look good." He smiled.
"Okay, fine. Whatever. Now Niall hates me because I'm hitting on his sister... or the other way around?"
"That reminds me, I never got to ask you what happened between you and Horan at the rest house because our phone call ended abruptly yesterday. I saw you guys talking on the couch so you better not deny it and tell me the juicy details right away." He demanded.
"But there's nothing to tell. You see, all we did was talk and I don't think there's something 'juicy' about that." I grimaced.
"Really?"
"Wait, I did spill punch on him and then things got awkward in the bathroom so we never really got the chance to walk on the beach as planned."
"What happened in the bathroom? Did you guys have a 'quickie'? Tell me!" He sure loves gossiping.
"No, I just rinsed the stain off his shirt for him." I said nonchalantly.
"And that's it? You're right, there is nothing juicy about that. Anyway, moving on to my next question..."
"Oh, you have more..."
"About yesterday, you actually got me worried about how our call just ended like that so I drove over to your apartment but then you weren't there..."
"Do I really have to tell you everything?" I made a face.
"Basically, yeah. That's how relationships work, hon."
"But we're not really into a real one." I tried to argue.
"Still, we have to go by the rules. You do remember what we wrote down on the contract, right?" He reminded me.
"How could I forget?" My voice was filled with sarcasm.
Of course I forgot most of it only because he came up with most of it.
"You really want to know? Well, I had a babysitting gig. There, I said it." Just to shut him up.
"Okay." He said as he tied his shoes.
******
"So how did your day go, dear?" Rob's mum asked.
"Practice was the usual." Rob nibbled on his dinner.
"I was talking to your girlfriend, Robbie." She turned her attention to me.
"Why the sudden interest on Cher?" He finished his dinner quickly.
"What do you mean 'sudden' interest? I've always been interested in her... we have A LOT to plan about the future." She smiled at me.
Should I be scared about this?
"Like what?" Rob drank his water.
"Like how many grand kids I want."
And out goes the water from his mouth.
"Robbie, where are your manners?" His mum scolded.
"Mum, we're dating, NOT married. You're pressuring us..." He shook his head.
Yeah, watching them argue like this is kind of entertaining.
"Speaking of pressure, when will you two FINALLY kiss right in front of me?!" Uh-oh.
"Mother, we are NOT going to kiss in front of you in the middle of having dinner just because you said so." Rob protested.
"Well, if not now then when? Huh?!"
Mrs. Wadge sure is a peculiar one...
"Kisses are meant to be spontaneous, not forced. End of discussion. I should probably drive Cher home now. You're making her uncomfortable." He got up and I followed suit.
"Bye, Mrs. Wadge. Your cooking is spectacular!" I waved goodbye.
******
"That was fun." I said when he parked his car in front of my apartment.
"No, it wasn't. She's only getting worse day by day... it's probably best if I don't bring you home for dinner for your own safety."
"If that's what you want then it's fine by me." I smiled.
Unexpectedly, he leans in to peck my left cheek.
"What was that for?"
"For not asking too many questions. Good night, kiddo." He ruffles my hair.
"Night. See you tomorrow." I got out of the car then hurried off inside to my apartment building.
That was weird. I meant a 'pleasant' kind of weird.
"Welcome home, sweetheart." I found Luke standing beside my apartment door.
"You stalking me again?!" My blood pressure rose.
"Nope. I'm actually here to blackmail you..." He smirked sexily.
I mean, not that sexily.
"What kind of dirt do you have on me, Hemmings?" I got curious.
"I heard you and you're 'pretend' boyfriend talking in the locker room." He stepped closer towards me.
Holy crap.
"You were lurking on us?" I questioned him.
"Well, not exactly. I just happened to be there at the right time is all."
"What do you want?" I got straight to the point.
"You." He grazes his soft hand on the side of my face.
"Okay, that's just gross. I'm not sleeping with you again."
"I wasn't suggesting anything yet... all I want is to stay in your bed for as long as I want." He pouted.
Why the hell does his pout have to look so freaking cute?! Ugh.
"You mean to cuddle?" I clarified.
"Yeah, that's what I want. Just to cuddle... It was kind of getting lonely sleeping all alone on my own bed..."
"That is such a lame excuse but since I want this to get over with, step right in so we could discuss some stuff." I opened my door for him.
"You're just bored, aren't you?"
"No, I really do like to cuddle with you." He said seriously.
"Then buy yourself a teddy bear. Kids these days..." I said sarcastically as I shook my head.
"No need. I already have a Cher bear..." He grinned.
He is such a brat...
