"What's gotten into you all of a sudden?" I asked Robbie once he plopped me down on his bed.
"Um, I had a bad dream about you..." He paced back and forth in his very own bedroom.
"And I didn't like it one bit! Then I got an anonymous call who told me that you were sick and I panicked." He explained.
Anonymous call, huh?
"I've been having random nightmares too." I get it a lot whenever I'm sick.
"No, mine's a whole new kind of scary. It made me realize what life would be without you..." He sulked.
"But it's just a dream." I tried to comfort him.
"You don't understand, most of my nightmares come true." He stated seriously.
"We should probably go back to sleep now. Perhaps your nightmare will be replaced with a good one now that I'm here?" I suggested.
"That's what I'm hoping for." He reminded me of an anxious little kid who's scared of the boogeyman. I find it cute.
So we went back to bed by 3 AM.
******
Rob's mum woke us up at 7 AM because it was a school day.
"Cher's still sick so I'm going to stay home to take care of her." Rob told his mother.
"But you've never been absent before." Martha says.
"It's worth it, mum." Robbie smiled.
"Okay then." She shut the door in front of her.
"I'm not that sick anymore." I said then he felt the temperature on my forehead.
"Yeah but are you sure you want to go to school today?" He asked.
"Nah. I'll just roll around in your bed." I shrugged.
"Speaking of rolling around in bed, I need to call Luke to tell him where I am." I just remembered.
"Do you really have to do that? I mean, it's like he's your boyfriend or something..." He pouted.
"What? You jealous? Hey, I'm not the one who abducted someone at 2 AM." I said sarcastically as I began dialing Luke's number on my phone.
"Hello?" I said over the phone.
"Cher? Where are you?" His voice sounded rather worried.
"I'm at Robbie's."
"Oh. I thought you were abducted by aliens or something... come home soon, okay?" Now he sounded relieved.
"Okay, bye." I hanged up first.
"So I was thinking, maybe we could practice our dance for the winter ball in advance?" Rob began.
"Wait, is that what this is all about? You abducted me so that we could start practicing our dance?!" I confirmed.
"Well, not entirely... I had a bad dream remember?" He shifted uncomfortably.
"Robbie!" I pressured him to tell the truth.
"It's true!" He retorted back.
"It's all about you, you know..." He added.
"Or maybe this is all about you." I said.
"Yesterday, you asked me something I thought you knew so I'm telling you now with a smile, it's all about you." He smiled so handsomely.
"Huh?"
"And I would answer all your wishes, if you asked me to... but if you deny me one of your kisses, don't know what I'd do!" He started strumming on his guitar while singing a 'McFly' song.
"Do you really think that a song would just let me forget about your abducting me---"
"So hold me close and say three words like you used to do... dancing on the kitchen tiles it's all about you!" He continued singing anyway and damn it, he can sing.
I never knew that he could...
"It's all about you, it's all about you, baby---"
"Okay, I get it. You're forgiven." I sighed.
It was inevitable to forgive him on my part because I might start swooning any time now if he doesn't stop with the singing right away.
"You're like the best girlfriend that I ever had! I'm going to make you some soup." He placed his guitar down then got up.
If he only knows what he does to me...
******
"Babe, you're doing it wrong. Just follow my lead, okay?" Rob held on to my waist.
I keep on stepping on his feet while we practiced this 'waltz' thing.
Meanwhile, Martha kept on taking pictures of us at the sidelines.
She's like the paparazzi, I tell you and every once in awhile she'll squeal out of nowhere because she couldn't take our 'oozing' chemistry together.
"Mum, you should probably bake some cookies..." Rob suggested.
"Darn it, I don't want to miss a thing but alright!" She put down her camera hesitantly.
"You're hungry?" I asked Rob once his mother went away.
"No but that got rid of her..." He said with a straight face.
"Good thinking." I can't help but laugh out loud.
The bad thing was that I was now completely alone with him...
My heart skips a beat everytime he pulls me closer especially when he gazes down at me with his mesmerizing gray eyes.
I get dizzy during the twirls too and I'd do anything just to stop feeling this way!
The more I get to spend time with him, the more I'm falling for him. Stupid feelings.
"Let's start all over again." He intertwines our hands together then he replaces his other hand on my waist while I placed my other hand on his shoulder.
"1 and 2..." He counted the steps.
I was busy looking at our feet when he says,
"This time, fixate your eyes into mine." He lifts my chin up with his soft touch.
"..." Freaking out on the inside!
"Uh, maybe we should take a break?" I backed away.
"Why, what's wrong?"
"Nothing, it's just that I'm bad at... dancing." I made up.
"No, your not. I still remember your awesome ballet moves you know." He clicked his tongue.
"Uh..." Nope, I can't think of any more lies to cover that up.
"Is there something you're not telling me?" He eyed me in a scrutinizing way.
Yes. In the end, it's all about you after all... I wanted to say.
