' How can all their rooms be filled. It's a damn hotel in the outskirts of Africa. Who comes here!'

Nkuli complained all the way back to their room after the receptionist told them they could not get another room since they were fully booked.

' The people who are enjoying this beautiful place quietly.'

She turned around at his comment and glared at him before kissing her teeth and slamming the door in his face. He shook his head and sighed and opened the door to find her trying to make a call. He sighed and lay on the bed while she went into the jaccuzi area on her phone.

' I'm going to kill Susie! Can you believe that no uber comes to this place. Are you really sleeping right now?'

' What do you want me to do. You just said no uber comes here and it's late. I have a meeting early tomorrow and I need my rest.'

Nkuli huffed and looked around the room. The floor was hardwood and if she remembers correctly there was only one blanket in the room.

' Where am I to sleep?'

Kenneth scooted over and patted the empty space next to him without opening his eyes.

' It's bad enough that I'm forced to sleep in the same room as you but I refuse in the same bed as you.'

' Suit yourself.'

She walked out to the front desk since there was no phone in the room and asked for a blanket but was told there was none available at that moment.

' What kind of a resort is this. There's no blankets again and no chairs in this damn room! To top it all off there's no other room available. Why is this happening to me.'

Nkuli sat at the edge of the bed not sure what to do while Kenneth starred at the back of her head. She really hated him that much that she could not stand being around him. He got off the bed and handed her the two continental pillows, with the normal size pillow and the blanket from the bed. It was still too hot to cover up.

' Thank you.'

' No problem.'

Nkuli spent most of the night tossing and turning as the pillows kept slipping away from each other. Being that the African weather was very bipolar it became a bit chilly in the early hours and she could not help but wonder if he was not freezing under that sheet. Kenneth being anemic she knew how easily he got cold. After much deliberation with herself she got into the bed and climb next to him to find him shivering. Feeling guilty she wrapped her arms around him to share her body heat with his.

' This just had to happen to me.'

She mumbled to herself as she slowly watched him stop shivering and when she was satisfied that he was warm enough she tried to remove herself from him but he pulled her back.

' Please stay.'

' Kenneth you're no longer cold.'

' I know but this is comfortable.'

Nkuli sighed and no longer fought with him. She fell asleep in his strong comfortable arms. She woke up that morning surprised to find that she was left in bed alone.
