Nkuli sat anxiously waiting on her friend who she had not spoken to in five going on six months. She did not want to meet with her but her husband and Senzo arranged this meeting for them. Kenneth had been nagging her for weeks to make amends with her. She sneered when she saw her walk over to her but noticed that there was something different with her friend but did not know what.

' Nkuli.'

' Susan.'

She replied still trying to figure out what she was missing. Susan noticed her worried look and smiled. She still cared, atleast not all was lost.

' Thank you for agreeing to meet me with.'

' Like I had a choice. Our husband's were nagging me about it.'

' I heard Kenneth is back home. I'm happy for you and him.'

' Yeah well thanks to you and Minnie. You're the reason we even started really talking to each other.'

' It did not happen how I planned it out to happen. So I cannot really take credit for that.'

The waiter brought over their meals and for a moment they sat not talking as he made sure everything they needs was on the table before he left.

' I would like to apologise for meddling in your marital affairs but it hurt when Minnie came over to me crying about how it was unfair that she had to have parents who hated each other.'

' You know I never considered how my decisions could affect my children. Especially her.'

' You were hurting though hun and I am sure they partly understood what their dad had done.'

' You should have seen how she cried when she found out he was back for good.'

Susan smiled at her friend and grabbed her hand in comfort when once again she became emotional. Which she had been doing a lot herself of these days.

' I am also sorry for being a bitch and lashing out on our friendship because of my marital problems. I know you want me to be happy and I appreciate all the love and support I get from you and Lorna. Even when I am wrong.'

' Well you're forgiven if I am for meddling. In that case I have something I have been dying to tell you.'

Nkuli raised her eyebrows at her mischievous smile. Which she had on as she stood up and unbuttoned the man's designer shirt she had on. Nkuli screamed much to the other's customer's irritation when she noticed the little baby bump on her.

' Oh my gosh. Sorry go back to your meals. Nothing to see here. __When did this happen? How far are you? Praise the Lord!'

For as long as she's been married Susie and her husband had been trying for a baby and the one time they managed to conceive she had a miscarriage a month into the pregnancy and has not been able to concieve till now at thirty- five. Nkuli knew how her friend what her friend went through just to have her own child. When she got pregnant with the twins at sixteen she took it hard and did not fully appreciate how lucky she was till she had to experience how hard it was for her friend to conceive and she never complained of being fertile ever again.
