Kenneth was woken up by someone on their room door. He had returned from jogging that morning to find Nkuli asleep and he joined her after his shower since the meeting was apparently cancelled according to a message he got from Senzo. He checked the time to find that it was nine in the morning before he went to answer the door.

' We did not order breakfast.'

He said to the server who pushed the cart in after he opened the door.

' You don't have to order it. We bring meals three times a day and you can order anything in between.'

He tried to tip the guy but all he said that it was covered and he shrug his shoulders with a thank you as he walked out.

' You ordered breakfast?'

Nkuli asked when she woke up to him with a plate of mixed fruits in his hand.

' No it was brought over. It's part of this place package.'

' How do they know what we want to eat though?'

' I don't know but they have everything we like here.'

She got off the bed in only a t-shirt since she had not brought any pyjamas thinking that she would be alone. Kenneth starred at her all the way to the bathroom. He knew how she never slept in pyjamas even though she had a closet full of different types. She always said it was comfortable sleeping in her own skin.

' Didn't your mother teach you that it's rude to stare.'

' I'm not starring but appreciating.'

Nkuli scoffed as she took a fruit from the plate he had in his hand and sat next to him on the bed. She would have thought they would atleast bring in chairs with the breakfast.

' Thank you for last night.'

' It's no problem.'

' It's nice to know you don't hate me to the point that you would want me dead.'

' We still have children who need you.'

' You don't need me?'

' What I need ain't important. You made your decision.'

' You made the decision.'

Nkuli let our a breath, she really did not want to talk about the past. It was fine where it was, in the past.

' What did you expect me to do. To just forget how hurt I was that you had another relationship and fell inlove with someone else!'

' You should have atleast let me explain myself. You know that I never slept with her.'

' Yeah but you were taking her out. Having dates with her as a married man. How do you think that made me feel that my husband was out there making another woman happy. Treating her how he was supposed to be treating me. You had a whole other relationship or better yet, life.'

' It was not a relationship and I only did those things because things had changed and we were drifting apart. We both had clashing schedules and were no longer intimate on any level. It was no longer about us but about making money and raising our kids. I needed to be made a priority. Unfortunately Sindi showed me what I did not have at home.'

' I hate you.'

Kenneth sighed and watched he walk out into the balcony in tears.
