A sudden bright light blinded him as he sat by the graveside with her favourite flower in his hand. He remembered throwing two in but now one was in his hand and he was suddenly surrounded by African daisies. All facing the light. He looked up when the voice that had been haunting him in his dreams spoke.

' Told you I'd see you again.'

He felt her soft lips on his eyelids and lips before she sat down next to him. The bright light was gone and she was in a white dress he had bought for her to wear when they renewed their vows. It was Owethu's idea to have her buried in it since she had mentioned to her that it was her current favorite dress. It was more of an evening dress than a wedding dress.

' I miss you babe.'

He said laying his head on her thighs. He loved doing it and Nkuli would tease him about being a spoiled old man. She did not mind though. It was part of their bonding.

' I miss you too.'

' We were supposed to grow old together.'

'We did say till death do us part and you know we all have limited time on this earth. '

'It's not what I meant and you know it.

' I know my love but we cannot, unfortunately leave together at the same time. Everyone has their expiration date.'

' He didn't have to take you away from me though. I still need you. I cannot live on without you.'

She wiped away the tears that silently fell out of his eyes. He could not stop crying since he witnessed her soul leave her body on that road a week ago. Onlookers watched and other's tried to comfort him as he sobbed uncontrollably for his wife.

' My love. I know it hurts. It hurts me as well but you're going to have to live and move on. You have six children waiting for you at home. Who are also hurting and not really sure how to continue with life right now. You need me yes but they need their father more. I wish I could just come back and help you raise them but I can't. My time on this earth has come to an end and you cannot let yours end with me.'

' Why can't I. You were mostly part of the reason I was on this earth. You know if it was not for you, I wouldn't be here. You saved my life and now that you're gone, those thoughts have returned and I do not want to be here anymore.'

Kenneth was depressed and suicidal when he met her. Though he never told her how, he always told her that she saved his life.

' Ken you have six kids you have to raise and Kj needs you. '

' You left them though?.'

' Come on baby. You know it wasn't by choice. I even had to beg to show myself to you.'

' It's just all too much.'

' I know but my time is up.'

' How is it up there?'

' Heaven and hell are not as black and white as Sunday school makes them out to be.'

She kissed his lips longer this time before he woke up and left the graveyard.

' I love you.'
