ninety four : "i'll be back."

"How is she?" Gemma's thick accent made the three of them look to the door. Cole and Leah stood up to give the female a warm hug as she came in the room. "She's doing better, we're just waiting for the doctor." Leah responds and sits back on the chair beside Serena's bed.

Gemma sat on the couch and sighed. "Harry's asleep, probably because of his meds." She informs them. "Are you okay? Have you gotten any sleep?" Serena asks the tired-looking brunette across her. "I slept last night. Mom and I are switching shifts, tonight, she's the one sleeping."

It must've been exhausting for the two of them, they both flew in from London and headed directly to the hospital and hasn't gotten any proper sleep at all.

"Feel better soon, okay? I swear, you two need to be more careful and you should take care of yourself more." Gemma mutters out kindly, standing up as she bade all of them goodbye. Cole and Leah then went back to Serena's side and held her hands tightly, almost reassuringly.

Not long after Gemma left, they heard knocks from outside the door and they finally see the kind smile painted on the doctor that came in.

"Hello, how are you?" He asks in a friendly manner, as if to break the ice and make the atmosphere comfortable. "I'm doing fine." Serena briefly replies. "Well, I have all the results here. Your case is probably because of the lack of rest. Your body's quite weak, so I would give you some vitamins. Besides that, you're free to go tonight. Just don't stress yourself out any further. Get some rest." They all nodded, which made the doctor understand it was his cue to go.

"Thanks, doc." The door slammed shut again. Cole speaks out. "We're taking you to Harry's room for a few minutes once you get discharged, then we go home, okay?"

"H? Kiddo, Serena's here." Harry's eyes darted open almost instantly when Anne said those words. He's been sleeping most of the time since his medications were quite heavy, but he wakes up from time to time, and they all know how badly Harry wants to see Serena.

It was 7 in the evening and Serena was just about to be driven home by Cole and Leah who were kind enough to offer to stay in with her for the night. But as promised, they took Serena to Harry first.

"Serena, I missed you." Harry still sounded weaker than usual, but the perky sound didn't fade any less. "I missed you too, are you feeling better?" She quickly dashed to his side and held his hand. "Yeah, just a bit woozy."

She places her lips on his forehead softly and brushes his curly hair to the back. "You have to feel better soon, okay? I miss you." Harry nods like a kid, almost like promising he will do his best to be better. "Are you heading home?"

Serena looked at her friends, Gemma and Anne who all shared a look of awkwardness. "Yeah, I have to. I'll be back tomorrow morning once you wake up, I promise." Harry looked a tiny bit disappointed, but he holds on to Serena's promise.

"Take care of her for me, okay? Thank you so much for staying here." He calls out to Leah and Cole who smiled and nodded. "No problem, just get better soon." Cole says, Leah butting in a second after. "I'll just collect the payment tomorrow." They all chuckled, hugging each other as it was now time for the three friends to go home.

"Be back tomorrow, yeah?" Serena nods. "I love you, take care." Harry smiles widely as he again grows sleepy from the medicine kicking in. "I love you too."
