The two of them were awfully quiet on social media, which made the rumors of Serena cheating on Harry a lot worse. They've been concluding that the two already broke up and that Serena went back together with Elijah.

But that wasn't the case at all.

Harry was in his house, bombarding her with messages and calls that she never answered. Serena, on the other hand, was staying in her couch, watching movies and staring at the pair of tickets she bought for her and Harry.

She honestly don't know what to do at this point. She really wanted to sort this out, but not now, she feels that she's not ready yet. She was aware that she had her fair share of mistakes on the situation, she lied to him and met up with her ex and she can't blame Harry for being mad. It just didn't sit well with her being accused as a cheater, she bets it will never sit well with anyone.

Her phone was still on the table, untouched for a few days already. She can't respond to Harry's messages without seeing her face on the news.

She suddenly remembered the conversation she once had with Harry, about being labeled with names by the media. Harry fought through the same thing years ago, he was much younger than she is, but definitely much stronger. She can't handle attention like this, she just can't.

She had to pause what seems to be the fifteenth episode of Dynasty when she hears her doorbell ringing. A sigh escaped her lips, feet walking towards the door lazily. She figures it must be Cole, since he was telling her how he's planning to visit for a while now.

Turns out, it wasn't 1/2 of the Sprouse twins but Harry Styles.

"Harry." Those were the only words she mustered up to say, Harry looked different, his eyes were tired and his hair was more tousled than usual. He also smelled different, Serena could definitely smell the booze. "Are you drunk?"

Harry didn't reply, all he did was pull her close and trap her inside his arms. "I missed you, I missed you so much." She didn't stop him, she let him wrap his arms around her and embrace her tight. Harry looked so afraid, she could feel his tears falling down her shoulder as he buried his head onto the crook of her neck.

"I'm so sorry." He was pleading, and Serena felt her heart break, Harry cries a lot sure, he cried when they watched rom-com movies together but this was different, he sounded so sad. Serena reciprocated the hug and rubbed his back soothingly. "It's okay, it's okay, don't cry, Harry. I'm here."

He couldn't, maybe it was the alcohol or maybe it was just him. He can't stop crying, the fact that he's hugging her alone couldn't sink in, he was so scared that he lost her and he couldn't handle that.

He was practically begging at this point, he kept rambling out apologetic words like it was vomit, he can't even stop to hear her out, if Harry's being honest, it's because he feared for what she might say next. He was scared that she was going to tell him she was done with him, or she didn't want him anymore. He can't even imagine, or maybe he can, but he'd rather not.

She stared at him with wide eyes that spoke millions of words, they all said one thing though and Harry understood it quickly. She was hurt seeing him hurt, and it only gets worse with the fact that they're still not in good terms after what happened.

"I'm so sorry." Serena cupped his cheeks, wiping his fallen tears with her thumbs and kisses his lips softly. "It's okay, I'm sorry too. I shouldn't have lied, you had every reason to be angry. I was wrong." Harry nods, and hugged her again. He doesn't know if he'll ever get tired of having her in his arms.

He kisses the top of her head and closes his eyes. He has never felt that kind of fear, not even once in his life— he feared for the fact that someone who's already a huge part of his world could leave him, and it was his fault.

"I trust you." He whispers, his voice sounding so serene along the cold night breeze. "I trust you, I promise." Serena embraces him tighter. "Thank you, and I believe you."

As soon as they parted, Serena frowns and pulls the male inside. "You're drunk." Harry nodded slowly, he doesn't really see the point of lying anyway, it was obvious he was shit-faced drunk. "I didn't know what to do, so I just drank." Serena sighs and presses her lips on his forehead.

"You should get some sleep." He shook his head, even flailing his arms carelessly to make her know he has no plans of going to bed, even though his eyes were already threatening to slam shut. "No, I don't wanna." Serena sadly smiles. "Please, H. You need to sleep, you'll suffer a massive headache tomorrow if you don't."

His lower lip perked out as he pouted. "No." His stubborn reply only made Serena sigh in amusement. "Please?" Harry still said no.

"I don't want to sleep." He says, looking at the ground like a lost puppy and all of a sudden, it hits Serena that there was something more that's bothering Harry. "Why not?"

Harry sighs. "Because I'm scared that when I wake up, you won't be next to me." Serena didn't know what to say, she was overwhelmed with tons of emotions that were hitting her like a train all at the same time. She felt so sorry, she quickly wrapped her arms around him.

"I'll be right here beside you... tonight, tomorrow and forever."
