I run my fingers through my hair and inhaled the smoke I look out the big windows as the cars and subway drove I can't hear anything but I love this, it makes me calm when I look outside

I heard a knock I sigh " come in " I said standing up the door opened and Elazar walked in wearing his school uniform I smile as he runs towards me and hugged me

I look up and saw Sofie standing by the door " hello Ms. Merk, thank you for picking him from school you can go home now " I said she blushed making me sigh I know she likes me but I can't love or even like someone " goodbye see you tomorrow " she said

" ready to go home and get ready for the party, " I ask my son he nodded smiling I picked my jacket and walked out my office with him " goodbye Eric, " I said he smiled and nodded

I took Elazar hand as we walked out the company and climb in the car as my driver started driving " I don't want to go to the party " my son said I look at him confused " why " I asked him

" because you don't want to and we don't have to go we can go somewhere else," he said smiling I shake my head and chuckled " Mateo is your best friend son we are going don't think about me and I want to wish him happy birthday too, " I said sighing he nodded and laid his head on my arm

" go play I will get ready then dress you," I said as we walk in the house he nodded and run in his room sighing I walk upstairs in my bedroom and took my clothes off

I wrap my towel around my waist and walk in my closet I took out black ripped jeans a white shirt and a black jean jacket

After putting my clothes on I look at the mirror and stared at myself I don't know myself I don't look like a twenty-three-year-old I should have partied and had fun but now I have so many responsibilities and sorrow

my eyes are looking dead and I like it I like how I'm now emotionless and cold no one will ever hurt me again I won't let my walls down for anyone again and no one can break me again

putting my sneakers on I walk out my room and make my way towards Elazar room opening the door I saw him playing with his cars

" bath time," I said he looked up and stared at me with his full of life hazel eyes were my eyes once like this I don't remember all my childhood I was sad I won't let my son to spent his life with sadness

we walk in the bathroom as he took his clothes off and stood in the bath tube I pour shampoo on his head and washed him he giggled and smiled as I Washed the foam off his body

Wrapping the towel around him " go in your room and wait " I said he nodded and run in his room sighing I walk in his closet and took out a white shirt a black ripped jeans a blue jeans jacket and his white sneakers

I put his clothes on him and styled his hair " we both look same " he said true but almost I nod and smiled " come on we are already late " I said he nodded run out his room

I picked my keys and Mateo's gift then walk out the Hause putting the gift in the back and climb in the driver seat I turn and look at my son his already grinning and buckled

" ready," I ask turning my car on he nodded sighing I started driving, god his the only one that can make me a little happy I live when he smiles I thank god that I have him

After Isa and my daughter died it was like my world shattered I didn't love Isa but I loved my daughter I cared about Isa she was mother of my kids she gives me my son and daughter but I lost them and I was glad that I still have him

I can never forget how Elazar cried for his mother he was always attached to me but when she died Elazar changed he was upset and didn't eat he cried in sleep for his mother he wanted her to sing for him I can never forget his whimpers how he called in the middle of the night mama
