Return of the Lost

Chapter 5 - Reunion Part 1

Taka came back into his cave and dropped three dead rabbits in front of his guests. "You don't have to worry about me. I've already eaten." Kion, Kiara and Fuli began eating. "Why are you three out here?" Taka's attention was turned towards the cave. Kiara swallowed her food and then spoke.

"Zira attacked us and threw my father into the river. This meant that she won and have claimed the Pridelands." She noticed a worried expression on Taka's face the decided to question. "Is everything ok?"

Taka sighed. "Everything is alright. I did find another lion in the river and brought him here but he isn't here."

Kion stood up and looked into his eyes. It was then he noticed a scar on his left eye. "Everything going to be alri... Wait. What happened to your eye?"

"I might as well explain." Taka and Kion then sat down with Fuli and Kiara.

Ono perched himself on top of Beshte as the group spoke to one another. "Where do you thing they could've gone to?" Bunga said as he ran over to a tree to climb so he could have a better view of their surroundings.

"Do you see anything?" Beshte said as he and Ono looked up towards him.

"No I... Wait. I do see a brown lion now." Bunga said as he pointed towards some trees and something brown moving in between them.

"So, what are we waiting for? Let's go!" Ono took off to where Bunga was pointing before.

"Ono, wait!" Beshte and Bunga yelled at the same time as they followed their egret friend who was now randomly gone. "Where could he have gone to?" The pair were trying to scan their surrounding when they heard a familiar scream. Beshte and Bunga looked over at each other in fear and then walked towards Ono's scream.

Taka returned back to the cave for a second time. This time, he had a bird  in his mouth. The three of them turned their heads so that they were facing him. Taka laid the bird on the ground and offered it to the three. It began to wake up and the first thing it saw was Taka. His fear forced him to fly away but he then noticed Kion, Kiara and Fuli so he flew towards Kiara.

"Kion! Kiara! Fuli! Nice to see you." Ono happily greeted his friends.

"You too Ono." Kion replied.

Taka was staring at the group blankly as he thought, 'the bird was their friend. At least I reunited them.' A small smile grew on his face as he saw the small group interacting with each other. Taka decided to allow them interact with each other before walking back into his den.

Kion looked over at Taka and decided to follow him. "You ok Taka?" Taka turned around and saw Kion standing besides him.

Letting a sigh escape from his mouth, he kindly replied, "Yes I am. Now run along before your friends worry." Kion then ran off. "I hope that I'm not spotted with them."

Kion reached his friends and sister. He was listening to them speak about Taka and how nice he is. Kion wanted to help him but he didn't know what his problem was. "Kion?" This snapped Kion from his daze. Kiara, Fuli and Ono were now staring at him.

"Sorry. Was too busy thinking about Taka. Don't you find him mysterious. He hasn't told us much yet he decided to help us." Kion's gaze was turned to Taka's cave.

Beshte and Bunga were walking around in search for their friends. "You ok little B?" Beshte turned his head so he was now looking at Bunga who laid on his back.

"Yeah. I'm fine." Bunga lied. Beshte noticed the lie but didn't want to talk more about it. The pair kept on going no matter what the consequences were. They knew they had to find everyone but they also knew that it'll be harder to find someone. "Do you see anyone in the area?" Beshte kept on scouting the area and noticed movement pass one of the tree.

"I see something in the distance in between those trees over there." Beshte said as he began walking in that direction. The duo began to move closer when all of a sudden they lost sight of them. "Bunga, do you see anyone?" Bunga surveyed his surroundings as he tried to find the thing his friend was talking about.

In two trees above, there were three figures watching the duo. "What do we do now?" One of them said. "They look like the kids that came with you. Ready to move out now?" The other two figures nodded.

Beshte and Bunga were very alert of theor surrounding. They felt like something was watching them until something fell from a tree right in front of them. "Gah!" Nala and the two lions were next to her.

"Where is Kion and Kiara?" Nala questioned.

"We have no idea to where they went. We just lost them." Bunga replied.

"Stay close." Nala then turned to the two other lions.

I realised that Bunga and the others were suppose to be back in the Pridelands but let's pretend that they caught up to the others. Sorry for the late update... Plz don't hate me I've been really busy with stuff that I rather not jump into any further detail
