Chapter 10 - Relaxation/Fuli And Vitani's Secret

"Kopa?" Vitani whispered a bit of excitement. "Is that you?" Kopa looked at Vitani like a stranger.

"Wait, how do you know me?"

"I remember my mum pushing you off the cliff and into the water." Kopa had a grin growing and ran towards Vitani who did the same thing.

Fuli and Ono were walking/flying through the forest  in search for the siblings. They have been away for a while and everyone was beginning to worry. "Ono, do you see anything?" Fuli looked up to see if Ono has spotted anything. He flew down to her and shook his head in defeat. It was beginning to get dark so they began to head back to their home. The search for the trio can wait for tomorrow. Due to exhaustion, Ono landed on Fuli's back and decided to remain there for the time being. "Don't worry. We will find them soon." Just then an eagle flew down and landed in front of Fuli. "Have you seen them?"

"I have but they are walking away with two other lions." The eagle answered. "Follow me." She then took off. Fuli trailed on with Ono still on her back. The eagle remained at a slow pace since Fuli had to catch up and the trees would block the view from each other.

Kion, Kiara and Kopa were walking with Kovu and Vitani away from the place that they are staying at. "Where are we going?" Vitani questioned as the five of them were walking towards a river.

"Oh it is a surprise." Kion stated as they began going upstream.

Kovu walked up to Kion with Kiara at his side. "So Kion, what is this place you are talking about?" Kiara was also excited to hear the news. Kopa and Vitani saw what happened and they both looked excited.

Kion sighed. "I am not going to tell you where we are exactly going but I will tell you that Fuli and I have ran into the place at around this time." Kion leaped over the river and began walking down stream against another river.

Vitani caught up to Kion and decided to ask him some questions. "So Kion, who is Fuli? And how did you meet?"

Kion slowed down before  smiling. "I first met her when we were just cubs. Like very young. Eventually she joined the guard and our friendship has grown since then." Kion looked back up and saw immediately stopped. "Fuli?" His face was filled with confusion and shock. "How did you know that I was coming here?" Kion walked up to Fuli and sat down next to her as they watched the sunset. Kopa and Vitani noticed why Kion brought them here and joined the lion and cheetah. The same went with Kiara and Kovu.

Fuli looked over at Kion and Kion did the same. "To answer your question Anga saw you so I followed her. I then noticed the direction we were going so I decided to come here instead. She was confused with the sudden change of direction but followed me instead. If you are wondering where she went, she flew off with Ono to the top of one of the trees." Fuli turned around and saw the duo talking to each other. "Now my turn to ask. Where did you go and who are those two?"

Kion gulped. He didn't know what to say.

The moon shone brightly as the stars twinkled. Ono and Anga have fallen asleep in their own trees. Kopa and Vitani decided to move from their location to have a rest. Kiara and Kovu slept together at the base of a tree. Kion and Fuli laid in the middle of the opening. Fuli felt a bit restless and then decided to wake up. She looked over at Kopa and Vitani and woke Vitani up. "Psst, Vitani. Please can I have a word with you?" It took some time before she got up.

"What do you want and it better be good. I was enjoying my nap." Fuli looked at Vitani's grouchy expression.

"I'm sorry that I woke you up but, do you like Kopa?"

Vitani's face turned red. "N-no? What makes you say that?"

"I could tell since you are both sleeping with each other. As well as that you were both nuzzling each other during the sunset."

Vitani sighed. "Yes. Yes I do and you better not tell Kopa about it."

Fuli giggled which made Vitani give her a threatening glare. "Don't worry. I won't tell."

"Why?" Fuli looked at Kion in order to try and point it out a bit. Vitani saw and got a hint. "Ooh ok. Here's the deal. If you keep me liking Kopa a secret, I won't tell Kion that you like him." She stuck out a paw.

Fuli shook the paw. "Deal!" The two of them were about to go and sleep when all of a sudden Kiara was right in front of them.

"What were you both talking about?" Fuli and Vitani panicked a bit.

"W-we were talking about wh-what we wanted to do tomorrow." Vitani stuttered. Fuli nodded in agreement but Kiara knew that there was more.

"Now come on, I won't tell anyone else ok?" Kiara looked unimpressed so Fuli and Vitani kept on making up excuses until it was no use.

"Uugh fine... but you better not tell anyone else." Fuli groaned.

"I have a crush on Kopa and Fuli has one on Kion." Kiara looked at them in excitement.

"Really?! I have one on Kovu. I'm pretty sure that he knows about it." Fuli and Vitani squealed in excitement. Kiara joined in on the fun but it woke the boys up. Kion was the first up in a defensive position and began to scan his surroundings. Shortly after Kion's awakening, Kopa and Kovu woke up.

Noticing that there was no danger, Kopa, Kovu and Kion turned to look at the girls with a grumpy expression. "WHAT WAS THAT FOR?!" The girls looked him with a bit of fear being shown.

The three of them looked guilty so Kiara decided to speak up. "Sorry. We became to excited about something that has got nothing to do with you." Kopa was about to speak when he heard a pair of flapping sounds.
