Chapter 9 - Escape From The Pridelands Part 2

The group have finished up on telling their stories and they are now discussing ways to reclaim the Pridelands. There were many different strategies but no one had no idea which one to choose.

The years went by and the group have forgotten about the Pridelands until...

Back at the Pridelands, Vitani was sitting outside the den; there wasn't much greenery to look at ever since they have claimed the Pridelands for themselves. Ever since she was a cub, she remembered seeing another cub perished in front of her sight. This made her feel a bit upset since she never got a chance to introduce herself to him.

"Vitani!" She turned around and saw her mother standing there. "What are you doing here? Aren't you suppose to be hunting for food?" Vitani knew that there were very little food to hunt and eventually there won't be any more to feed them.

She did know the consequences and she didn't want to bargain with her mother so she just sighed. "Yes mother. I'll be back." Zira smiled in joy while Vitani did it to hide her true side. Zira turned away and walked into the den.

Vitani stood there while she saw her mother walk back into the den before heading off out from the Pridelands. Her journey was cut short when she saw Nuka and Kovu approach her. "So Vitani, where are you going? Oh that's right. Mother told you to go and hunt the pride food. Enjoy!" Nuka walked away while Kovu stayed.

Kovu looked around to see if there were anyone around that could be listening before whispering. "So Vitani, where are you actually going." If she told him where she was actually going then he could go and get their mother. "I can tell that there is something on your mind."

This continued a bit longer before she was finally pissed. "I am leaving the Pridelands ok?" Kovu looked confused. "Uugh. I am leaving due to how abusive mother is. She also killed a cub when I was around the same age. So, why were you interested?" She then began walking out from the Pridelands. Kovu trailed behind.

"I am coming with you because I became friends with a Pridelander. I never got to see her after that." Kovu was grinning so hard that he could make the whole world smile back at him. "Let's get a move on before we are caught." Vitani nodded but what they didn't know was that there were being watched.

Kiara, Kion and Kopa were out in the desert. There wasn't much but they decided to have a more stronger bond with each other. "So Kopa, did you ever care for anyone?" Kion questioned.

Kopa laughed when he remembered about that young cub that was younger than him. "No but I remember that cub younger than me."

"I do remember the time I met Kovu." Kiara and Kion gave her a questioning look. "I rather not talk about it." Kiara turned her head away. Kopa kept looking at Kiara with pleading eyes which was slowly pushing it but didn't work so Kion whimpered in sadness which made Kiara groan. "Uugh. Boys." She quietly whispered to herself. "Fine but you better not tell anyone else." Kiara then began to tell the story. "While I was playing tag with him..."

"Your father came and scolded at me." Kiara  turned around and saw a lion and lioness. "So what did I miss?" Kiara immediately tried to run up to the male lion but her brothers prevented her."

"Kion, Kopa. Why are you stopping me?" Kopa stayed beside Kiara while Kion protected the two of them. "Why are you doing this?"

"They are both Zira's kids. They are here to take us back to the Pridelands." Kion still stood guard but Kopa noticed something about the female. Kopa left Kion and Kiara in order to speak to the female.

"Who are you and why are you here?" Kopa was on guard as well as Kion. Kiara saw this as an opportunity and ran immediately to the male lion. The female lion looked at Kiara and the male lion nuzzle each other before looking back at Kopa.

"I'm Vitani. Daughter of Zira. The only reason why I left was because I remember my mother killing a cub older than me by throwing them into the river." Vitani looked down in sadness. "I never got to introduce myself to them. Oh and that's my brother Kovu there." Kopa, Kion and Vitani looked over at Kiara and Kovu. "So, are you going to introduce yourself to me?"

Kion stood front. "I am Kion if you remember and that is Kiara. This is my brother Kopa." Kion settled his paw and looked at Vitani who was staring directly at Kopa.
