Allura's POV
3rd person style

"Mim mi?"
{So what will we do now?}
Allura was snapped from her thoughts by mimikyu's question.
"Er, didn't you hear Leon? We're going to get this letter signed of course."
{Signed by what parents or guardian? Last I checked you don't exactly have either of those.}
Allura wanted to protest but then she remembered that mimikyu was right. She had no mom, she had no dad, she had no type of permanent shelter either. Well, she did have foster parents, but they were a long way away. All Allura was was some random run away foster kid with a Pokémon and nothing more, how could she compete with the other challengers if she couldn't even get some stupid paper signed?
Then she got an idea.
"We'll just fake the signature then!"
She announced to her partner with the look of determination in her eyes. She would try her hardest to not let this no parent problem stop her.
"Mimi?! Mim, mimikyu!-"
{We're going to what?! Lora, I'm sure that's against the rules somehow-}
"Well you got a better idea?"
Mimikyu when silent for a moment.
"...Mim, mima..."
{... well then, I won't tell if you don't...}
"Good."

Allura let Mimikyu crawl up to her shoulder. The two made their way farther up the dirt path to a place where no one could see her signing her own endorsement letter.
In the little aria she was in. There was only a small house and a fence nearby. For some reason a Wooloo was rolling into the fence as hard as it could. She payed it no mind, maybe it was just practicing it's tackle attack?
"Now to find a pen..."
Allura said patting the pockets of her shorts to see if there was anything she could use to write with. With slight excitement she pulled out something that was somewhat pencil shaped. But she got her hopes up for nothing, it was just a stick.
"Dang it, nothing useful." She shoved the stick inside of her pocket and sat down on the dirt.
'This sucks... I haven't even started the gym challenges and it looks like I've already lost...'
She thought with a sigh
"Mi! Mimikyu! Mimi! Mi-kyu, kyu."
{Hey! don't give up! You were just so excited a few moments ago! Maybe we can ask around for one? Someone in that little towns bound to have something to write with.}
"Yeah guess we can try. No harm in trying, right?"
{Right!}
Mimikyu nodded happily.
Allura shoved the letter into her other pocket and ran off back to the town.
The search for the pen begins!

Word count: 487 (super short-)
(Hey to whoever is reading this! Sorry about this part being so short. I couldn't really stretch it out any longer then it already is. Next time I'll try a little harder to reach 1,000 words.
Anyways- see you in the next chapter!)
