Allura's Pokémon adventure (yaaay..)

Chapter six (And we're off!)

The kids spent the night at Hops house. They had something like a sleep over there. Hop slept in his own bed while Allura and Gloria slept in some blue sleeping bags on the floor. Between Cinder's sleep talking and Hop's obnoxiously loud snoring Allura barely got to sleep. She squeezed in about three and a half hours so it wasn't too bad.

Allura woke up late in the morning to Cinder hopping up and down on her side.
{First day of school! First day of school! C'mon- wake up! We gotta go!}
She squeaked energetically. "Noo... two more hours..!"
Allura protested in a drowsy voice. She almost drifted back into sleep but then she felt something pulling at her hair.
{No! We leave now!}
Cinder commanded. Allura sat up and pulled Cinder off of her hair "Okey, okey! I'm up..! And what do you mean school? Where doing the gym challenge not- er, never mind."
Cinder put her paws on her hips and said
{Great! Now get dressed, everyone's downstairs already!} before dashing off and down the stairs. After stretching and rubbing her eyes Allura saw that Cinder was right. The room was empty except for her.
The young girl got up and ran her fingers through her hair in a poor attempt to straighten it. Her hair was often a mess so she didn't mind. She didn't have to spend time getting dressed seeing as she slept in her clothes. She looked in a mirror in the room to see if she looked at least somewhat presentable.
Same old shirt and shorts. Dark spots under the eyes. Scratches on the arms and legs. And tangled hair.

She walked down the steps and on her way out the door she nearly tripped over a little Purrloin. The cat pokémon just sprinted out of her way and meowed.
"Loin!"
{Watch it human!}
"Whoops, sorry about that."
Allura said crouching down to let the little cat.
"Guess I'm still half asleep, huh."
"Purrrr..."
{Yes you are, but it's fine...}
The cat purred before brushing up against Allura's legs and padding over to it's blue food bowl and taking a few bites of the kibble that sat in there.

Allura watched the cat walk off before she went out the door herself, closing the door gently beside her. Outside she saw that Hop and Gloria where talking together by the tree. Three out of the  four starters where all in a small group on the little battle field. There weren't fighting, it just looked like they where all playing tag. A very violent game of tag where you head butt and tackle instead of just tapping the other person.
The second Scorbunny was just sitting to the side and watching them.
Mimikyu, as usual, was off doing her own thing. The little ghost was picking some buttercups and saving them inside of her costume.
Allura didn't understand the purpose to this, but her mimikyu was pretty strange anyway. So she didn't question her actions too much.
Leon was there as well. The champion was watching the starters play together. He looked away from them when he noticed Allura came outside.
"Ah, Allura. Finally you're awake!"
He said.
"Ready to hit the road?"
He asked. Allura nodded and said
"Yeah, I think so."

Cinder looked up from the game she was playing and ran over to Allura
"Bun!"
{Then let's go!} she said while pulling at Allura's leg like a kid trying to guide their parent over to something they want to show them.
"Ok, ok,"
She said while bending down to pat her on the head. "Mimikyu, we're leaving!"
She said to get her attention. A moment later later the ghost came up to her and climbed onto her shoulders.
{And we're off!}
Cinder said in excitement before racing ahead
"Hey- wait for us!"
Allura said before chasing after the rabbit.
