Allura's POV
Third person style

It was the middle of the night and instead of sleeping in a tent in the wild area Allura and her traveling partners where in a pokemon center waiting room.

They had to venture into the town they where going to head to in the morning because one of their maps shows that a pokemon center was there. It would be way faster then waiting for the train that way.

Currently they all sat in the center at Motostoke. At least this way they could arrive at the gym earlier.

Allura sat in one of the chairs in the waiting room. She pressed her elbow into her leg as she rested her chin on her hand.

All of the pokemon besides mimikyu and Cinder were in their Pokéballs at the time.

Cinder and Mimikyu where in the waiting room with the small group of kids.

Allura looked around the room to see what the others where up to at this time. Mimikyu was looking out one of the windows into the darkness outside. She seemed to have her eyes fixed on something out there. But it was impossible to tell what because the street light outside the window had been damaged and was no longer working.

Everything outside just looked like a blend of shadows to everyone else. But maybe Mimikyu could see in the dark. Or perhaps she was just in her thoughts.

Cinder on the other hand was laying down under one of the waiting rooms' chairs.

The rabbit with the grey blotches was in Something of a loaf position. She had her back legs tucked under her and her ears were lowered.

One of her front legs had her head resting on it while the other was tucked under her fuzzy and soft looking frame.

She slept on the hard and cold tile floor, which isn't really the ideal place to sleep but she looked comfortable. So no one bothered her to get her to move to a softer space.

Gloria was sitting next to Hop on the opposite side of the room from Allura. Gloria had her leather bag on the floor beside her and a Pokéball in her hand.

It was impossible to tell if it was Misty's or Blaze's since the Pokéballs looked exactly alike. Gloria kept her eyes on it and it looked like she had something on her mind as she did.

Maybe it was Blaze's ball and she was concerned about what happened before the pokemon center at the camp, when Blaze bit the wild cat.

Hop on the other had and fallen asleep like Cinder. He used his duffle bag as a pillow and was snoring away. His snoring and Cinder's more quiet snoring where the only sounds in the room, besides the air conditioner blowing noisily, the break the silence.

Allura stopped looking around at everyone and pressed her elbow into her leg a bit harder as she slumped forward slightly. It kind of hurt to do this. It turned her skin red in that spot and created a small dip in that part of her leg. But she didn't seem to care about it.

She was mostly thinking about the Purloin that they were waiting on. He had been hurt pretty bad by Gloria's Growlithe.

She couldn't be sure between the injuries themselves and the amount of blood lost if he was going to be completely okay.

She wanted to believe he was fine but she's seen a pokemon that she loved get a small bite wound that they both passed off as not serious at the time. And then after that day she didn't see them again and later got the news that they had crawled somewhere and died.

She didn't think there where any hiding spots in this hospital to curl up and prepare for death. But she was still worried

After an hour a bandaged up cat was wheeled in by nurse Joy on a little metal cart.

The cat was laid out on the cart on his stomach with his eyes half opened and half closed.

Over all he looked... Well. He looked as well as a person who just got attacked can look.

He had bandages around his torso, back leg, and a few wrapped over one shoulder.

Nurse Joy looked at the trio and announced her presence and the cat's condition.

"Sorry This took so long, I had him fixed up in the first ten minutes but I needed to make sure he was stable enough to be discharged." she explained. The Nurse looked like she had some dark spots under her eyes. Like she's been sleep deprived.

Working a hospital job alone will do that to ya.

It was Gloria who replied first "Oh. Don't worry about the time. We weren't doing much with our night anyway." She assured the doctor

'Yeah besides sleeping.' Allura thought tiredly. But the sour thought only lasted for a second as it was soon replaced with relief that the cat was okay.

Nurse Joy nodded to Gloria before gently lifting the tomcat up in her arms. She carried him over Allura who held him carefully. She was probably given the cat because she was the one who carried him into the place. She had the blood stains on her hoodie to prove it.

He was cradled in her arms kind of like how you'd hold a baby but the tom was on his side with his back facing towards the rest of the room. His half opened eyes glanced around the room with a slightly confused expression. Did he not know where he was? Or had he been given something that made him act this way?

It was hard to tell.

"You okay little guy?" Allura asked the cat "Murloin..?" {Do I look okay..?} the tom cat meowed sharply but tiredly.

"Meowloin!" {I just got mauled by a dog! What do you mean am I okay?!}

Allura's lip curled down slightly at the end and she hummed in response "Wow don't sound so appreciative that I brought you here. Quite the personality you have huh?" she remarked before hugging the cat and lightly pressing her cheek into the side of the cat's head.

"Don't worry mister grumpy butt. I'll love you weather you like it or not." she told the cat he groaned in protest at her actions.

"Rauloin!" {I don't give two Rattata tails about what you do! Just get off of me.} he protested.

Allura rolled her eyes and obeyed by not hugging him as tight {And can you not nickname me that?} he asked in a slightly more polite voice. But not that polite.

"Sure thing dude. I-I was only joking." she admitted tripping over her words a little at the end 'Stupid stuttering... why do I even do that?' she wondered momentarily.

Then she shook her head. 'This adventure is off to a slow start... why is everything taking so long?}

(Sorry for the short chapter. I promise the next one will be longer. Let me know if you liked this one. Also name suggestions for the purrloin are much appreciated.)
