When Alana arrived home she immediately went to her dad. Maybe he wasn't trying to get closer to her, maybe he just wanted to embarrass her. "Dad, my whole class heard you when you called today! My phone was on speaker! Don't call me again while I'm in school!" "I'm sorry, I didn't know." Or did he? Alana didn't know what he was up to. Carter looked confused as to what had just occurred, but he just went to his room. Alana went her room and just listened to music. Two more weeks and six days with this man!
Alana just told her dad that she was leaving and she'd be back. She was going to get the video game for Sam. She went to Game Stop and bought it for twenty dollars. It was called Game of Arms; Alana didn't fully understand it, or what type of benefit it gave you, if any. She drove back home, and wrapped the present for Sam, I guess you could say it's an early Christmas present for him. Alana was now exhausted and went to sleep with Spike after packing Sam's present in her backpack.
The next morning Alana woke up and remembered all of what had happened the night before. She grabbed her things and got ready for school. Today is the big day, today she'd give her present to Sam, and today, she'd ask Sam on a date. As Alana left for the bus stop she threw her earphones and phone in her backpack and left.
It was fifteen minutes before first period would start, so Alana made her way to Sam's locker. Just as she was about to reach his locker she put her backpack down to grab the game. As she reached around, the video game was no where to be found. She searched and searched and then thought back to the morning. She threw her earphones and phone in her backpack, and then..... She forgot to zip it closed! The video game must have fallen out at home, or at the bus stop, or anywhere! Alana could no longer call this "The Big Day". The rest of the day felt slower than any school day ever could, she had to find the video game, otherwise, that was a huge waste of twenty dollars!
When Alana got off the bus, there sat the video game, lying in the snow. She reached to grab the video game, when someone else grabbed it before her. "Hey that's mine!" "You're a girl." "So?" "So girls don't play Game of Arms!" "It's not for me, it's for a close friend of mine." "Oh yeah? Like who" "it's none of your business!" Alana said beginning to grow angry. "I'll make you a deal. Your friend Grace? Get her to go on a date with me. If she says yes, you get your precious game back. If she says no, I keep the game, no charge." "Fine! I better get it back!" She said walking away. "And don't open it yet! Please! I want it to be brand new when they open it, please!!!" She screamed out. She couldn't afford to have someone like Mark Denim open her video game, he'd break it, like he does with every game he owns.
