Alana woke up thinking she'd had school, and she slept in. Then she realized it was only Saturday. She sleepily walked down the stairs in her pink pajamas. There was a sudden knock on the door just then. Alana walked to the door, yawning, and grabbed a package left on the front porch. It was addressed to Alana, not her dad, or Carter, her. She peeled the packing tape off and lifted the cardboard flaps. There was a thick layer of styrofoam sitting on top. Alana lifted it up and there, was something amazing. An early Christmas present from her mom. Her very own Planet G7 phone. The newest phone, released last Friday. There was a note from her mom: Dear Alana,
I miss you and Carter! It's beautiful in Florida. The sunset here is like you've never seen before! I bought you and Carter an early Christmas present, which I'm sure you'll love! Hugs and kisses,
Mom.
Alana lifted up the styrofoam under her phone. Underneath it was a Planet G6 phone. Carter got an earlier generation phone, because he is younger. Alana was so ecstatic! She immediately transferred all of her things from her Planet G5 phone to her brand new Planet G7 phone. She couldn't wait to show Carter and her dad. She waited on the couch, it was only 8:34 and her dad and brother usually woke up at 9:00. Couldn't her whole stay be like this? Couldn't she have just gone to Florida with her mom?
Alana woke her brother up at 9:00, and handed him the package. "From Mom." She said. She watched her brother's face light up as he grabbed his Planet G4, and began to transfer all of his information onto his new Planet G6 phone. "Merry Christmas to us!" Carter said happily. Alana's dad crawled out of bed to the sounds of rejoice. "What is the big deal?" He asked. "Mom sent us new phones! I got a Planet G7 and Carter got a Planet G6!" Alana said smiling. "Well that's great. Was there anything else in the package?" He asked. "I think I saw a Planet W4 watch in there." Says Carter. "Really? I'll be the judge of that." Her father says. Maximus approached the box and lifted up a sheet of paper. "P.S. Give this to your dad." It read. There really was a Planet W4 watch wrapped in tissue paper and submerged in packing peanuts. Maximus pulled it out and tried it on. The screen lit up and showed the time. He pressed a button on the screen, as a voice sounded: "Hello. What can I assist you with? My name is Mari." "Mari, call Caroline." He said. "Your wish is my command." It responded as it began to dial Maximus' divorced wife's number. He walked out of the room and began to talk to Caroline. Alana and Carter sat on Carter's bed and began to figure out their new phones. It was like Christmas had already come. Except the fact that there was actually seven days until Christmas. Alana found her Instagram and posted a picture. "Comment your numbers, just got a Planet G7." She wrote. Alana was happier than she had been so far, during this whole trip!
