Alana just sat there. She thought of texting Carter and asking who he would stay with, but quickly shot that idea out of the sky and really thought. She didn't want to be separated like this. She had lived with her mom for quite some time, but Alana was still a little more fond of her mom. Finally, she decided to text Carter anyways. "Who are you staying with?" She asked. Her blue text bubble sat, unseen, leaving behind it, a question Alana couldn't bare, but couldn't be more relieved to hear. A small gray bubble appeared with three small dots in its center. Carter was responding. "I know it's hard for you, it's not any easier for me. I don't want to be the reason why you pick a certain one of them. Pick who you think means the most to you. Maybe that's both of them, I don't know, but I hope that you choose wisely." Carter answered. Alana felt unexplainable. She couldn't explain how she felt, she didn't have a decision. Alana ran out of her room and texted Grace. "Would you rather I stay at your bus stop here, or go back to my old one?" "Alana, I know this is about choosing where to live. I can't choose for you." Alana couldn't believe that no one would help, give their opinion, or be there for her.
Then out of nowhere sprouted an idea just then, and Alana knew she had to tell everyone. This time, it was full proof.
